I'd suggest that you put a fake profile on one or more of the free dating sites. My own favourite (because it attracts Lads who are willing to just email, not only those that insist on Yahoo Instant Messenger) is DateMeFree:

Other baiters have other preferences.

Remember to make your profile really boring or off-putting, so you don't attract any genuine people who are truly looking for a relationship.

Then, when you've got a Lad writing to you, and feel optimistic that he is the sort of Lad who would also entertain the idea of writing to your sister, that could be the time to issue an invitation for another baiter to join you as that sister.

Having said that, there could be someone around here who already has a Lad to offer you, and/or could introduce you to their already-established Lad as their lovely sister.

But if not: try it the other way round - get the Lad, then offer him out to others!

Scammers dont bother to read profiles too much so dont do anything to try to attract them, by doing so you may attract a real person.

rather than saying you are a successful businessperson, say your an extremely unattractive 4 foot tall who never baths and farts a lot.

Anything that a real person would steer clear of, dont bother posting a picture unless you must but if you do I prefer to use an animal pic.

Remember, real people are looking for their perfect partner and will read your profile, lads are looking for somebody to steal from, the more desperate you seem the better for them, not that they will be looking Wink

I think I have a potential. Not sure if it's going to be a love scam or a 419 though. Says he is in Chicago - his profile on Afrointroductions makes a big point of saying he's not a scammer etc etc.

Thanks weareborg. I found an IP of 65.39.178.135 which comes up as being in the UK, so not sure if I've done it right.

The guy on Afrointroductions looks a bit like the guy in the middle of the group photo - he just seems very, very keen to stress that he's not a scammer but wants to make Africans millionaires by email

Nice to talk to one of the legends, btw.

He is writing from Hushmail and so, like with Gmail, his real IP Address will be hidden.

I'm not sure that this person is a Lad, however.

Following one of the links that weareborg gave, I then clicked on his profile, and read his posts (listed on the right hand side of his profile page). One of them 'Walk for Humanity' links to this website:

Really if your not sure if this subject is genuine or non-genuine Twisted Evil

Try e-mailing them again [new bait] with a different charature, e-mail type, and story line, and see if you get the same replies as before. If there replies are different and match your e-mail, I would suggest there genuine, and should be dropped.

Sometimes it's very difficult to determine if there genuine, So I normally just urr on the side of caution and drop them and move on to another one..

I think I'll leave the line of communication open for him and see what happens. I suspect he is legit.

Have also undergone a sex change to see if I can get a Vladette. A friend of mine got a Ukrainian job offer at his work email - I've asked him to send it through, without saying why. He thinks I'm stupidly going to pursue it. Which I am, just not in the way he thinks Twisted Evil
