Had a buddy order some fat loss stuff from this site. I did not know the guy when he did this, but when I was telling him about scammers using WU he told me about this site. The guy took around $400 off of him. I already have some stuff on order. He uses an email address through a site that hides his IP.

how was it a scam?

Was it pay up front and then no goods or something else?

Then i noticed the order details go to a diffent address [email protected] which is a free web secure email facility.

I just checked and the registered owners address does not exist and the phone number comes out of:- Vallejo, CA (Landline)

also the e mail he used to register is listed as a scammer here http://www.elitefitness.com/forum/counterfeit-anabolic-steroids/xxxanabolic-yahoo-com-scammer-alert-370207.html

but so far i am not sure that there is anything to shut down the site.

I am sorry to hear your friend may have been scammed. Certainly buying any drugs off the internet is sketchy at best and not highly recommended.

While I see the inconsistencies with the registrant details as noted by Madhatter, I don't think this is something we deal with here in Fake Banks. I think this might be better in Misc. Scams. Unfortunately, not every scam site is something we can or do deal with here in Fake Banks.

If you or your friend have the evidence to show this is a scam it is good to post it up. I am pretty certain he won't be able to get his money back, however. Also you might want to direct your friend to our sister site, Scam Warners to post up details regarding the scam to help others not being scammed.

@dadeciple: Dora is right. While this sounds like a scam, it isn't advance fee fraud, which is what we deal with here in the fake sites forum.

So, I'm moving this thread to misc. scams. You can still work on trying to get somewhere on it but it won't get a database entry, etc. These can be pretty tough to shut down because there is no evidence of the scam on the site/emails.

I appreciate you guys looking into it. The scam is like what was said above, you order some products and pay then do not get anything in return. Here is the initial email you get back when you order something:

Just so you know, as the host suspended it, the owner of the site could rehost it with another hoster. Maybe he will, maybe he won't. But certainly a victory for today!

I really hope your friend will not try to buy more drugs anywhere off the internet. Putting aside the whole debate about steriods and should he being using them or not, buying an medications off the internet is really not safe. And since there is no regulatory system, it is a breeding ground for scams. Chances are great you will get ripped-off.

Please send your friend over to ScamWarners if he ever needs more advice. Very Happy

Just as an FYI, Muscle Science is a reputable supplement available for sale in South Africa, with a legit website athttp://www.musclescience.co.za/. They tend to not do online orders though and sell mainly through retail stores such as pharmacies and supermarkets.

Not suspended but expired. If you check with Madhatter's whois you will see that the expiration date was 11 July 2009. That is why it is now no longer active. Althogh this could be because it was a failed (genuine) company I am sure the truth is simple fraud. Take your money send no goods.
