Before I drop $10 on SkypeOut, just wondering if anyone knows of any provider offering free VoIP credit (like as a trial or as some kind of promotion). Actually, last month there was 30 minutes free of SkypeOut to any country - I missed that! Sad

I had to bite the bullet and stuck £10 on sipgate.co.uk - I have to say it's lasting well, there's no standing fees or anything. You can set it up from the US too, if you want a UK number - you get your choice of city, and appear like a real landline number (not like a VOIP or premium number), and you can change it to another city whenever you like (if you want to suddenly skip town and appear somewhere altogether different)

Rebtel.com doesn't advertise it much, but if you sign up, you'll get 5 "bonus" minutes. I just called Ghana for all of those 5 minutes, so it really is 5 minutes - not 5 US minutes. Smile
