I was baiting a scammer that wanted 10,000 dollars to get his buissness going. He got really down to the nitty griitty on the sex talk. I.ve confused him a few times. How do I respond to scammers on money? I told him I don't have that kind of money. I want to string them on so I need some ideas on to handle the money part. He wants me to come to scotland and keeps asking if I got my passport. He wants cam sex. He brought his cam up and nothing was on it. The screen was black. He claimed the cam was broke. Please any advice on how to handle money part will help. Rolling Eyes

Oh I forgot just so u know I don't get on cam. I tell them I don't have one or it's broke or they have to get on cam first.

Hi Midnight, there are many ways to play these scammers, it is limited only by your (or somebody else's) imagination

If you take a look in my signature line you will find a link to our romance baiting sticky, it goes into a fair bit of detail about what to do about the money request but it also tells you more about the different things you can include in your bait.

Personally, I use nothing but emails, Gmail at that and very rarely if ever send a photo of any kind.

As far as your question, before you send any money he may need to; prove himself
Teach you about Western Union
give you a bank account
wait until you have money to send him

Even then, you will make mistakes with the MTCN
Forget to attach the scan
attach a scan that cant be read

When you have those things right the money may get chopped by another lad or by a dodgy WU employee

As I said, it is limited only by your imagination

Take a look through the Sticky, read a few other baits and try some things for yourself, not every bait will be a success, in fact most wont lead to any significant trophy or safari, but it will teach you and it will waste the scammers time and you can have a load of fun in the process

Dont forget to ask questions in the forums if you have any and it wont be long before you are making your own significant dent in the scammers resources

As to your question about avoiding sending money. preporting to send money, is normally the final e-mail, the end of the bait, and once they realise there's no cash coming, they will move on to the next victim.

But for every request, there are dozens of reasons why it didn't arrive. I've had my little Russians convinced that Moneygrab doesn't exist in Australia and Western Onion is only available in the capital cities.
There's always a reason why the bus didn't come, the car wouldn't start, the bike had a flat tyre or it's too bloody hot to get to town.
And the fact you haven't sent any, never enters the equasion. Of cause it was sent, it's hardly your fault they can't collect it. must be something wrong at there end.

Or simply change the subject, and talk about lawnmowers Wink

Just do a bit of reading , on some of the love baits, and whatever you do bait safe.

In the 'old days' (98'-02') I'd record a few hours of my computer chair sitting empty while I was at work and later on, stream it while chatting. Mass confusion always ensued.

I didn't see the topic of the sexual chat approached...

I'm not comfortable with sex chat...I will let a conversation go to "what are you wearing" to which I'll respond "oh a baggy green sweater and my comfy jeans"...and then use the embarrassed emotiocon and outright say "I'm not comfortable talking this way on the internet"

It has nothing to do with him or your relationship - it's just that you feel that talk is to be intimate in the comforts of your own bedroom, not something through electronics...you just feel (strongly) that way and that's not going to change...

after they've been told once that I don't talk that way, any time they try to bring the subject that way they get a LARGE slap from me...

a real scammer is only after your MONEY and he won't let a little sex talk get in the way of his goal...

I have heard stories about people getting on cam and then get blackmailed with the pictures, so be careful with him, he may have a sordid criminal past

As for the 10k - you could have your money tied up in gold bars, and can't liquidate them immediately - you would have to take them to your investment agent who would have to take them for sale somewhere...this could take a week or more...

the gold gets lost on the way, stolen, left in a cab...anything...

you get the money, but it's so much it triggered a security alert at Western Union and there are these FORMS he has to fill out - and there are so many pages - but it's part of the new homeland security process against terrorists...

Take a look in the baiting toolkit - there are a lot of forms there...read the threads to give you ideas, find out what to expect in terms of what they'll do...

As far as sex talk goes (or anything else you may not be comfortable with) that comes down to individual baiter choice, you wont be judged by the members here for any choices you make, just be true to your own morals.

Sex talk can be a good way to de-educate scammers if you are willing to do it, like you, most women will be turned off by it so encouraging them to do exactly what repulses most women may make them less effective scammers.

There will always be boundaries for each of us when it comes to baiting and those boundaries will vary from baiter to baiter, the main thing to remember is that you need to be in control of the bait and steer it in whatever direction you want, if you dont want to do sex talk, you can de-educate in other ways by telling the lad you are very interested in him writing about himself, tell him how no woman you know wants a man who is interestd in what the woman got up to, tell him you want to know about what his favourite sports star is or what how he would control you when you eventually get to meet.

Hopefully, the next new victim he meets will get a good dose of whatever it is you were able to teach him and for some reason he may have little luck with any real people

My characters are always broke, but willing to make money to be able to "participate" in the deal. Sometimes it is getting a loan (which is very tedious and I need reassurance that I am answering the questions right, especially about the amount of money). Of course the bank can't give me that much money, so I have to get advice about new ways to get money.

I have had to sell my character's car, but then it is either stolen or the buyer doesn't show up with the money.

I have had to prostitute my character, but there is not much money in that... Shocked

Maybe you have to sell a body part. (Anyone know how much you can get for a kidney stone on the open market? They are like pearls you know...)

What ever you do, get the lad invested on your character and their "issues" all with the pretext of getting money to give to them. They really are quite caring (about your character's money) if you get to know them... Twisted Evil

Drama Queen, you say the sweetest things. Actually I haven't used the "Drop Bear" scenario for a while, I might try it on the red-head.

I think I've just about done my dash with some of the others and there constant requests for non-existent money. But in this game you have to learn to adapt and talk about any bloody thing. I just let it go, where it goes, And if they want to talk about transgender elephants, or the size of my Willie on a cold day, so be it.
And changing the subject from the size of Dolly's chest to a Stamp collection, is something I'm not very good at.

But the thing is, it's not a personal thing, so detachment is easy, It's simply not real.

Please Please, where do I find the 'baiter's toolkit'?

I copied the WU forms and might be able to use them soon. Any other little gems would be much appreciated.

About cams I have only once got a scammer on cam, AFTER he had admitted being a black man, and telling me he wanted to be a pig farmer. Thank god he kept his shorts on!!!

As for cams, that's entirelu up to you, there is a useful tutorial in the uni on capturing webcam footage so be sure to check that out

I don't really like the idea of this CAM thing, Apart from the fact it ties you down to a time where you need to be on the net, It also makes the bait a bit more personnal. Unless you can find someone to do the talking for you.

For me it's e-mail or nothing, in that way I control the speed of the bait, I control when I want to answer and I control just how fast the bait progresses. Plus you can control your mistakes, and edit your email if it dosen't sound quite right. You can't do that with instant chat or cam work. Sure some people are very good with there chat talks, and it does take up the scammers time.
This arrived today from one of my "ladies" just look at the subject matter it's offered me. There's material there for weeks, And all I asked was can it drive and did it watch the GP. And it's constant money requests hae been pushed off the first line "perfect"

I did the sell my car thing to raise money for one of my lads. Of course, this invloves a bit of time while prospective buyers look at your car...there may be something wrong with it...see if your lad can give you mechanical advice! After selling my car I had to buy a bike cos I lived out of town...then you have to go to town to get the money....takes a long time on a bike! Bikes break!
And to top it off when I finally got the money from the bank I collected a christmas tree from town which I obviously had to strap to my back as I didnt have a car any more...that tree was like a set of wings when pedalling along cliff side roads on the way home and got blown off the road and down the side of the cliff...explaining my inability to reply for a week or so over xmas as I had been in hospital Very Happy

Just out of the blue - kidney stones cost $15k (it was asked), at least that's how much mine cost...

@ wearborg -- as long as she's not googling stuff, which it sounds like she's not, I always enjoy reading about drop bear season...

As far as car value goes - IRL I got into a wreck (twice in 2 weeks after 20+ years driving accident free Sad

) so it gave me the idea of my car getting wrecked and I owe the deductible to my insurance company - which is 500$ that I don't have (hint that maybe they could help)...

so I'm going to have to put off this payday's bills to cover it or they'll sue me...so this payday and next I'm completely more than broke - I'll have to start eating beans again and going to friend's houses for dinner...

And my car is worth nothing now - it was totaled so I had to BUY it back out of the damage money -- and that doesn't leave enough to fix it and it is a mess...

But I am getting 3 checks due to the accidents (let them smell lots of money)

one from my insurance company (for the damage minus the car buy back) and I bought a surprise from work (a used laptop that's about to get lost in the mail - haven't told them it's a laptop yet) that work is going to let me pay from the first check and then make 50 a month payments for 10 months ($1,000 laptop)....possible safari maybe?

The second check (the deductible back from the OTHER person's ins. co) I'm going to hire an immigration lawyer (lots of forms) so they can get their Visa to come visit me...get married & get a green card...

The third check (personal injury) is going towards getting them airline tickets here - that settlement will take about 6 months to get...and you need the ticket before the Visa can be issued...but it's not too long in terms of a lifetime Smile

I DO have a motorcycle but it needs spring maintenance (new tires, wheel bearings, oil change, etc.) before I ride it...maintenance is VERY important to riding safely...

it's my pride and joy - I use it's picture instead of of me, and it's one of the things that when they ask you what you like to do I make a big deal out of it, and when it gets to the point where we're talking marriage I talk a lot about getting a companion bike so they can ride with me...so they wouldn't dare ask me to sell the bike for them...if they ever did it would be a major slap and no talking for about a week...
