I received this email from an individual (whom of course I don't know) sent to a long list of hotmail users. Unfortunately I cannot make Hotmail reveal the headers to me. Sad

Definitely fraudulent, payment is by Western Union, Paypal, or bank transfer. Looks like a phone lad site. Googling "Shuenwoyi" brings up all of their spam.

Being that it's chinese, shutting it down would be problematic. I don't know if there's any english abuse contact email for the registrar.

I'm not disagreeing but are you sure its fraudulent?

We have evidence that they are spammers but what is the scam?

I'm also not certain what the payment methods signify. The only one missing is 'credit card' and not everyone can become a credit card merchant.

I think the About Us page convinced me the most:

The whois shows that the site was created only last year. I haven't been able to find any positive references to the company on google, all that is brought up is the spam.

This is a $500 phone, and they're selling it for about $200(after converting from Euros to dollars):

I have no idea whether this is a scam or not. It just looked fishy to me. I'm leaving it up to the experts to determine and handle appropriately.

It looks like these companies are using hacked email accounts to send out their spam. So the hotmail account that you received the email from might be a hacked account.

How to prove that they are fake to shut them down is still a question.
