It seems that charity scammers get preferential treatment (usually of the mass bait type) but I was thinking. Surely the scammer is going to think that his charity script is a good one because he gets so many replies.

I have a diferent idea which may dissuade lads from using charity scripts at all.

Maybe if, when a charity scam letter comes up it is posted on a site and the url of this scam letter sent back to the scammer telling him that we all know it's a scam and it won't work because now everybody has seen it on the internet.

If the scammers get enough of these emails back telling them that their charity is a scam maybe they will stop using it.

Just a thought..

In fact, leave this with me & I'll set it all up over the next couple of days, see where it leads.

You know what would be really funny? If somebody chopped the "HOLLYWOOD" letters to make it look like Californians had altered them to create the world's largest anti-charity-scam warning.

Oh, or the Great Wall of China. Tell the lads that the entire UNIVERSE knows that their charity scams are bad, because we can see the warning from outer space. (Well...the lads would believe it, anyway.)

it' won't work, and lads know that. Every type of scams can be found on the Internet by googling, but how many potential victims do any research before replying to lads?
if it was that easy, it could be used against all scammers, not just charity scammers.

I take great pleasure in baiting these lads. I've set up a nice website and modality that suckers these greedy little prats. They know all they're asking for is money, a charitable donation. They prey on good natured and generous souls who do send a quick 20 to ease the suffering of children.

However these charity scams can backfire on them when they link to real charities. It's opens such a big window for confusion and annoyance. (Here I go pimping my latest lad, again.) --> Link to bastard charity lad

Charity scammers and dying widows are made for each other. I have had fun in the past by introducing them and prodding them along together.
