Glad to be here as ive been having some fun with the scammers over the past year or so.
Ive prob let them know a little too much .
Every time I sell something on Craigs list one of the scammers want to buy my item with a over payment bank check to cover me shipping item and im supposed to send the extra $$$ to their shipper. I have 4 checks so far and have one on the hook now.
I figure it cost them about $30 or so to overnight payment to me .
I use a fake name but have been using a empty rental unit as a mailing addy .
I kept one scammer on the hook for about 6 weeks with all kinds of excuses.
The reason Ive used that addy is to cost them $$$ and its funny to show folks the scammer checks.
I know its not safe in a few ways since im selling real items.
Help me out with some safer ways to keep them on the hook.

You shouldn't bait these guys with a RL name or addy. Drop them now.

If you become a Premium Member, you can have access to an anonymous drop box for the checks. You could also make up a name fake address to send the checks to. You don't want to give these criminals any RL information that could come back to haunt you. They have associates in other countries, and they might just decide to pay you a visit sometime, and we wouldn't want that to happen.
