One of my very first baits (standard inheritance scam) has been plodding along since mid-September with me trading chatty emails with the widow of a dead Kenyan politician. The barrister came into the picture about 3 weeks ago and this is where I think it gets scary/sad. Without asking, he sends me a pretty good looking passport (tineye tells me the picture is the director of the S. African reserve bank)

I sent some consent form as a corrupted file and never heard a word...just got these back the next day.

I guess what I find disturbing is the speed with which these fairly official looking documents were produced and without a request on my part....he's used these before and that means real vics somewhere.  |

^^Yeah, most lads have a kit of stuff like that. "Official" documents like those can be very persuasive for real vics. |

I am sure scammers have a whole tool box of forms they try to use on victims. some lads even share the stuff.
