Sometimes it's just a letter left out (the "hash" conditions of Abeche) and sometimes it is completely butchering a word, but I love it when a lad not only can't spell a word correctly, but continues the error throughout the email. From the lad that is rounding up pirates for my crew:

I wanted a handwritten pirates "oath", not an "oat." What am I going to do with an "oat"? I don't keep horses aboard the ship!
Naturally I won't correct him. Rather, my communications to him will now deal with the collection of the "oat."  |

I recently had a dying widow who spelt the same words wrong in each email -and curiously the doctor treating her spelt the exact same words in the same way as her e.g dieing, tretment |
