Turns out we're not the only ones to think an ID10T sign is funny. According to a message board I was browsing, the army came up with it first.

I have friends in the military who've told me those stories. Laughing

Another I was told they do is to send people looking for BA 1100 Novembers from the supply clerk. Of course they are always sent from one person to the next before someone hands them a balloon.

I had that one pulled on me as a young private, the only difference was that we had to get BA 1100 N's with ST rings. I also remember having to get #10 spots for the spot welder and a 5 gallon bucket of prop wash.

At cadets we always got someone to go get the DPM paint from the stores.
