Well, I must admit that this is obviously not the brightest lad in the world. I've had him on the hook for at least a year. He tries to hit me up for money, gets frustrated, goes cold on me for a month or two and then comes back with another angle. This time "the bank" wants me to open a new bank account. Of course, "the bank" needs me to send the money through Western Union or Moneygram. When I question this, I get this back.

Frankly speaking I have expected this question from you but I am
happy that you still asked.
The reason is because your Mrs Key`s account is not yet active
and the only way to activate the account will be to make a cash
deposit directly into the account to make it active. Since she
is not currently resident here in the UK and she cannot come to
our Bank in person to activate the account, we sorted an
alternative which will be to send the money to the account
officer who is responsible for the account,and he can pick the
money and deposit it directly in cash.Once this is done a copy
of the deposit slip will be made available to you and Mrs Key as
a proof of the deposit.

Too bad Ms Key is in Kent right now... and the lad is in South Africa. |

How much cash is she depositing?
Doesn't "the bank" have promotions to attract new accounts? Couldn't they pay for airfare from Kent MI (USA) to Kent UK?................Oh, wait..................
............Oh, that Kent........well.............how about a duffel bag then?
