My female Boxer dog was in her "amourous" mood last week, if you know what I mean. The Chihuahua would not leave her be. "Great, Boxhuahua puppies"! So, we took the Chi on vacation with us to our kids house. My wife woke me one morning, yelling, "You're going to be a Grandfather"! I immediately thought, "Oh no, puppies". Remember, I had just been awakened, and was in a stupor, wondering how my wife knew our dog was "expecting". Turns out, it's the real thing! Our son's fiance is the pregnant one! So, looks like I'm going to be a real Grandpa with no goofy looking pups! Whew! |

Just became a grandma a year ago myself. Not an idea situation - the sperm donor did a runner as soon as he found out, but my grandaughter is the light of my life and coming home at night and playing with her - well - it just can't be beat! |

I have no kids and at this age don't want them thank you! However, just remember that grandchildren always require a lot of sugar and caffeine before sending them home to parents. I think it's part of the "payback is a b****" process.  |

So, do you have any preferences? Boy or Girl?
I had 2 girls myself and now a grandaughter so I'm kind of used to the diaper changing thing. Seen a few friends with boys and good God! I didn't realize boys could p33 that far!!! 
OK - boys will be boys - rough and tough - girls will wrap you around their little finger for the rest of your life. Either way - you are Grandpa!!! My dad ended up with 5 grandaughters and loved every minute of it. Enjoy it. It came far too soon for me but once it's here - what the hell - at the end of the day you love 'em, blow raspberries on their fat little tummies, sing them nursery rhymes that make no sense, spoil 'em rotten and then send them home! |
