No problem, just tell him you work weekends as a Tiger look-a-like. I've done that before when sending famous people and having the pictures recognized. They rarely question that excuse.

Usually lads don't recognize someone semi-famous if you claim to be them but someone like Tiger who is internationally well known will probably be tagged.

I've made the same mistake myself. It turns out that many lads recognize Nikki Sixx, the Undertaker, Doug the Bounty Hunter, etc.

I just use the "yeah, I get that alot" line. Then I point out that the photo of "me" will show many differences from the real celebrity. Because I'll be sending thousands by wire transfer really soon, my lads either believe my story or just don't care one way or the other - I've never asked.

I am not sure how to even take your last e-mail. Is that a joke? You seriously expect me to believe you did not make that picture in MS paint? I am sorry if you feel like I misled you by sending one of my lookalike pictures but at least I didn't go into Microsoft paint and paste someone's head on there.

I wanted a picture of you so I knew who I was giving my personal information to. If you want me to help you get out of your country, that is what I need. And not "Hello M@rvin" either. It better say "(EDIT)!!"

No no no no no.... thank him profusely for his ID! In fact, it was rude of you to even ask for it, since you're dealing with an upstanding professional who is going to pay you millions out of the blue.

See, smacking your lad for lousy ID will make him a better scammer. And that, my friend, will never do. We can't have our mugus using us to become better and more effective - that would basically mean we're helping them willingly.

Save your slap for a better time, like when he tells you he can't provide something for you. Remind him that you've done all the work so far, so he should show some good faith and do his part. But never educate your lads.

It sounds to me as if the OP was slapping him for a chopped trophy pic not for the passport. I could be wrong though and it is a bit quick to receive a trophy pic from a lad.
