Sorry Weas, I understand where you were going with it. It does look pretty cool. It's just that if it takes to much of a hold in Nigeria then sending lads large, timewasting files may become redundant and thats what grabbed my attention. Hope that explains what I meant better. |

OK.... babyboyuk81, please respect to OP and stay on topic. My post was not meant to raise a stink about the lads having internet accesss, hence the reason I posted this in General Chat. Would this not have turned into a "Oh hell no, don't give the scammers better internet access" if I had posted some thing other than a Nigerian's blog explaining WiMax? (don't answer that question)
So, back to my point.. WiMax sounds like a cool thing for us NON-SCAMMERS.

Sweet. Any chance it will come to the US? |

I'd expect that if it's being trialled here, it's almost certainly being trialled in the US too.
A quick Wikipedia search turned up this list of companies who've licenced the bandwidth for WiMax in the US and elsewhere. Looks like just a matter of time |

@419weasel - I think the city of Philadelphia already has this citywide or is still in the process of setting it up. I haven't heard anything about it in a while, so I am not up on it's status. |
