After the fizzling out of the Noma scam I have been wondering about the use of the satellite ISPs in West Africa that seem to be based in Turkey or Israel. Has anyone ever tried to have the ISP disconnect the internet cafe that has been originating the scam emails?
Admittedly it's almost certainly a futile exercise, the cafe being a paying customer of a company that probably doesn't give a monkeys'. Has anyone tried it? |

In all fairness a few of these cafes are 100% lad run and paid for, but some aren't, so doing this would hurt innocents too. Wish it were that easy. |

It seems that these satellite providers are not licensed and tend to be fly-by-night outfits themselves, so I wouldn't expect to get much if any cooperation.
