There was an example in Australia where some one got an email saying he had won the UK online lottery..blah blah....send us money to release your prize...blah blah.....
This couple sent thousands of dollars to release "their prize" only to get nothing. The reported it to the aussie current affair program who told them it was a scam. They then went over to UK with the TV company who filmed everything, reported it all to the police, set up a sting in a hotel room with hidden cameras. The police were right next door and they came in and busted him. It was great.
I'm trying to find links to it on youtube.
NB - I definitely wouldn't want to try it without a whole room of Scotland yards finest, right next door to back you up |

It sounds waaaaaay tooo dangerous. What are you thinking?
If you feel you need to do this or actually find yourself face to face with your lad, you can always back out of it by saying you are a homeless person and someone gave you the clothes, fed you and told you what to say & do for a bit of cash. Tell him you only did it because you so despretly needed the cash fo your HIV medication. |

Apparently calling from the lobby or not ... But why does it make a difference? |
I don't really know. It's just what I thought. And still think.
He was quite insistent on keeping our interaction a secret - during our "meeting" he explained that he did not want to meet in a public place (which I had proposed) because it was do with a lot of money and he did not want to take the chance of people overhearing. Then he spoke of my coming up to his room directly and not to call him from the lobby or anything like that. Again he repeated that he was cautious because it was to do with a lot of money. And his insistence was despite my telling him firmly that Dubai was a very safe place for business and he should have no worries. |

There is one way to find out if a man is honest; ask him! If he says yes, you know he's crooked.
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once. |

It sounds like he has you.
P.S. assure him none of the security people you have hired know what this private buseness is. It is not their place to ask such questions. |
