No compelling reason for him to fly. He won't much like you knowing about Efex: http://efex-executive.com.ng/index.php/fares Bus from Lagos to Accra from just 9500 Naira ($58 USD). He already has more than enough for a return ticket.

^^TM! I just received this rather surprising email from Moses:

Quote:
Hello
how are you doing? Tanks for your email, how about KANO can we still hope on that, can you still active their without Third party?

Hope to hear from you so that i can final decide on which one to go first okay.
Regards

What do you think? I am pretty surprised he is bringing up Kano after his insistence on not going there, especially when he was already over half way there when he was in Abuja. Could he possibly have a lad there? I am going to tell him that for whatever location he does go to, I will need confirmation that it is in fact him there.

So what do you guys think? Should I push for Ghana or Kano? Lagos to Kano is roughly 1,000 kilometers. Lagos to Accra, Ghana is a little under 500 kilometers, but he would be passing through 3 different countries to get there.

I might suspect that he has a friend/relative there. Alternatively, it could simply be that he is reluctant to cross 3 Borders each way to Accra. Each time, he runs the risk of being searched and almost certainly paying bribes.

I would ask him why he has had this change of mind and persist until he gave a plausible reason.

Accra would take longer, but Kano is a looong way from Lagos. Alex Kelvin travelled from Benin City to Kano on a bus and it took almost 12 hours. Each location's journey would be arduous and uncomfortable.

Thanks for the insight. He has brought up a few times on the phone and I think once in email about the possibility of going to Kano, so it isn't completely out of the blue. Also, he's asking me whether ot not the transfers in Kano are still valid, so I could say yes or no depending on where we'd like him to go.

I wish he wasn't so damn adamant about no third parties involved, as there are beautiful SH hotel locations in both cities Very Happy

I'd love to hear from everyone else regarding Kano or Accra.

Thanks!

I vote Kano. He's asking for it (literally), the journey will not be pleasant, nor will the stay. Kano is never lad-friendly and it isn't an especially tension free place at the moment. I doubt he will enjoy himself regardless of whether he has an aunt/cousin/etc. living there.

Awesome work. Congrats!! clapping

The point is that if he have a friend there I won't go. His friend will do the pickup. I vote for Accra as it is easier to confirm by phone. If you hear his voice on an Accra number you can be fairly certain that he went. But if he call you to tell you he is in Kana you won't now as he can use his own number there. Then you have to confirm in in another way and that will take effort, especially since his ip have not been that reliable.

Good point about his having a friend do the pick up. Totally missed that. Suppose one should default to; go with the choice the lad wants the least? lol

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I am leaning towards Accra for a bunch of the reasons mentioned. Also, he has already traveled that route towards Kano twice now, once to Lokoja, then to Abuja. A little change of scenery couldn't hurt. If he does fly, that will obviously waste a greater amount of resources, but if he goes by land, it opens up the possibilities of more things going wrong. I do like the idea of Kano being double the distance and being a violent Boko Haram hot bed. Hmmmm....

I guess I haven't made my mind up just yet...Any other advice is appreciated!

I would vote for Kano. It is the place to be right now I hear. They have:

Excellent songs played all over town, which you will particularly like if you are not a muslim. It is totally not awkward to not participate in the prayers here.

Excellent security systems. The police doesn't need to patrol, as security is guaranteed by Boko Haram.

A wonderful climate. Tired of the cool winds from the sea? Average high for october is 34 C ( 93.3 F). With nightly temperatures going to 15-18 degrees one will have a pleasant sleep on every bench he can find.

And it is only 263 km away from beautiful Maradi in Niger, which is a nice place to extent a trip to if the motivation is present.

I'll just say, should you get him to Maradi, I will personally pay for your premium membership next year. I know someone who went. It is completely loveable, with no starvation at all.

As Dr Mike reminded us ^^^ a domestic Safari is much more difficult to confirm than one that crosses an international border. On reflection, Ghana is a better option for you as a Baiter.

^^ I completely understand the reasoning.

My motives behind suggesting Kano is to make him suffer more if he goes. Regardless of wether or not it can be proven.

Dr Mike and TM have never steered me wrong in the past, so Ghana it is...

Quote:
Good day Moses,

Since I do not technically have jurisdiction over the 0rphan RNs in Nigeria, obtaining the RNs for Kano would be difficult at this point. You see, the reason I had originally mentioned the RNs in Kano is because you were already in Abuja (fairly close to Kano), and I felt terrible about the fiasco that transpired with that bastard Mr. Affet and Randy. I was able to access a part of the server where the 0rphan RNs are kept, but it is not wise for me to continue trying to access Nigerian RNs because I do not technically have jurisdiction over those, and if I continue to access the database it could very well arouse suspicion.

From where you are in Lagos, Accra, Ghana would be much closer to you as well. Also, I have full jurisdiction over all of the transfers in Ghana so we do not need to rely on anyone else getting involved. It will be between me and you. If I was to go back into the database and obtain the Kano transfers, we would need to get a secondary approval from the district manager who oversees all northern Nigeria transfers.

I think at this point Ghana is a better option. As I mentioned before, if you do indeed fly, you will only need a one way ticket because as soon as you arrive, you can pick up the transfers and purchase a returning flight. You may also want to look into a bus or taxi service.

I look forward to hearing from you my friend, and seeing what your thoughts are.

-Gus

Again, thanks for all of the comments! Very generous offer Philip and I very much appreciate it!

If he again asks for money, you might like to email him the Efex link. That should shut him up.

^^Thanks TM. That brings up an interesting point to me. Would it be better to have the lad waste more money, and fly to Ghana, or have him spend less money and go on an uncomfortable bus ride?

What would you recommend?

I wouldn't recommend, only suggest Cool Generally, the more money a Lad spends the better. In this case, if he flies he has a good excuse to ask you to send an advance fee. You may then play the Efex card and rightfully refuse.

Moses truly is eager to get to Ghana...

Quote:
Hello
Tanks for your understanding okay, if that is the case please i am ready to go to GHANA, but like i mention before i need $200 to add up to the money i have now to proceed please help me with it to avoid further delay about this transaction okay.

Please i want you to act fast about this you know quiet all right that Ghana is not my country so i need the money to complete my flight ticket.

Once i receive this fund from you now i will be on way now so by 1st of OCT 2014 i should be in Ghana.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks for the info TM. I will be sure to include it in my next reply. You called it exactly that he'd be asking for money again...

I just got in from the gym, popped a xanax Shocked , and am listening to Obama on 60 Minutes regarding ISIS, so a reply to Moses can wait till the morning when I get to the office Very Happy

**Edit - Nevermind - Mr. Fring just punched out this reply to Moses. Moses normally responds between 5-7 a.m. my time so I want to be able to read what he thinks when I wake up tomorrow. I am excited at his willingness to travel Very Happy

Quote:
Good evening Moses,

I am very glad to hear that you are eager to head to Ghana. I can assure you that everything will go smoothly while you are there.

However, as I mentioned in the past, I am unfortunately unable to assist you with any funds. Moses, I lost over $800 on the Abuja job, plus, me using WU or MG and having my name in the system right now is the last thing we want.

I want to mention again that you only need a one way ticket. You can surely purchase your return ticket once you get there. The transfers are only between me and you so there is no chance of anything going wrong. I suggest you purchase a one way ticket, and then pick up the transfers, then buy a ticket home.

Or, I have done some research for you, and you already have more than enough funds to get to Ghana and back if you use this transportation service:

http://efex-executive.com.ng/index.php/fares

A bus from Lagos to Accra from is just 9,500 Naira ($58 USD). You already has more than enough for a round trip ticket.

Please let me know your thoughts. I wish you a good day my friend! We are very close to finally having all of our weeks of planning and hardships pay off. There is no doubt in my mind that your journey to Ghana will be successful.

-Gus

Sometimes I wonder if this bait may be a little difficult to follow at times because of the different characters I bait with. I just wanted to give a quick run down of who is who, in case of any confusion:

1.) Moses - Our protagonist who has journeyed from Lagos to Lokoja, Lajos to Abuja, and now setting up his travels to Ghana.

2.) Gus Fring - The crooked Money Gram district manager. He is Moses' main ally in all of his safaris. He is the one who controls all of the 0rphan Reference Numbers/0rphan Transfers.

3.) Eton Twats - A former pastor, who was originally contacted my Moses with the offer of a loan, so he could repair a burnt down homeless shelter. Mr. Twats originally went to Money Gram to send Moses the transfer fee, but Mr. Fring, knowing this was a 419 scam, denied the transfer, and instead contacted Moses with the idea of the 0rphan RNs. Since Moses and Mr. Fring were now allies, Moses sent Mr. Twats back to see Mr. Fring to complete the transfer (after Moses had already been to Lokoja and Abuja). Tragically, Mr. Twats perished in a car accident on his way to send Moses the transfer fees.

4.) Saul Goodman - A minor character, but he has kept Moses busy with well over 6 hours of answering questions with MTCN S-e-c-u-r-e. Mr. Goodman basically just wastes as much of Moses' time as possible, and has received a piggy out of him. His main purpose is going to be to keep trying to shut down his bank accounts.

Mr. Goodman hadn't heard from Moses in over three weeks. He assumed Moses was to inept and incompetent to answer a few simple questions to obtain the MTCN# from the Secure Services. The out of the blue, Mr. Goodman receives a very generous offer from Moses...

Quote:
Hello
how are you doing? i have been away to Canada for a business transaction i have tried all my best to answer the questionnaire but i did not arrive at all, i must tell you i have sit for many many many many hour completing question after question with no success??? i even ask our director to complete but his success was also not achieve. I must tell you this process has been frustrating to me beyond what you can ever imagine!!! , i have spoken with my Director he ask me to tell you that for your patient he has deducted $500 from your fee, so he has also send correspondence to Money gram office, so i want you to go to western union let them reduce the fee to $500 at $1000 let them give you a receipt and send it to us them we transfer your loan to you, or you can also make the transfer via money Gram

Hope to hear from you.

Ignored.

He then followed up with:

Quote:
Hello
how are you doing? i have been waiting for your reply, what is going on? are you okay? have you made the payment so that i transfer your loan to you.

Regards

So in the interest of wasting as much time of his as possible, and maybe obtaining another piggy, I responded...

Quote:
Sir,

Surely this is a joke, is it not? I sent you the transfer fees over three weeks ago! You couldn't even be bothered to answer a few simple questions to obtain the MTCN. After you admitted to me you were too lazy to answer the questions, and then didn't even bother to contact me while you were in Canada, I obviously recalled my funds. I was in touch with another Nigerian loan company and I sent them the transfer fee of $1,600 after you failed to pick up the funds I sent to you. It has been two weeks since I sent them the money, and they said my loan is still being processed but unfortunately there may be some fees that were unforeseen originally, so I am waiting to hear from them. It is a shame we couldn't do business after all of our negotiations.

I will propose this to you: While I am waiting for my loan from the other company, I do need a quick injection of cash. If you can provide me a loan of only $20,000, for a transfer fee of $100, I will do that. However, I will only transfer the funds to you via a secure bank account. You've had too much trouble with these Western Union and other crazy services. If you can process my loan for $20,000 for a $100 fee, I will still do business with you. Please let me know your company bank account information so I can remit payment.

Thank you.

As always, Dr Mike is spot on....

Quote:
Hello Gus
How are you doing? how is the family Tanks for your email i want you to know that what is delaying me now is money i need to pay for go and come for some reasons best known if you can assist me with $50 today i will proceed on the journey immediately. after Ghana can we still proceed to other country in which you have jurisdiction?

Thank You

Quote:
Hello Moses,

It is good to hear from you.

Moses, I must be honest with you though. I am again getting discouraged by your lack of initiative. Only a few emails ago you told me you had many hundreds of dollars and were ready to fly. Then I was kind enough to research the transport schedules in which you would have way more than enough money. I need to stress to you again Moses, you only need to be concerned with purchasing a one way ticket, whether by airplane or bus. Once you arrive you will be able to pick up many thousands of dollars to return home. Moses, you really need to get moving on this. I can not, and will not send any money after I lost so much during the Abuja trip.

As for your last question, of course we can proceed with the other countries. I think the best plan is once you pick up the funds in Accra, is to head to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. I have complete jurisdiction over all of the funds in Côte d'Ivoire, so that would be the next logical choice for you to travel to once you pick up the funds in Accra.

Moses, we must hurry. You must scrape together whatever you can so you can be on your way. I do not want to delay any further. It has been many months we have been communicating now and we have nothing to show for it. You must get to Accra as soon as possible so you can retrieve the funds and we can revel in a job well done due to our meticulous planning and execution.

Now, chop chop Moses! Get to Accra and retrieve the funds! We don;t have time to waste!

Your friend
-Gus

Haha, comes as no surprise. When a lad mentions money together with how little he has, then he will at a later point ask for it.

Now, chop chop Moses! Get to Accra and retrieve the funds! We don;t have time to waste!

I like that part. Very Happy

Good morning my friend,

How are you Moses? I am glad to hear my letter inspired you! I have a great feeling about our Accra, Ghana endeavor. I have been meticulously checking and updating our systems so that there will be absolutely zero chance of any errors occurring. However, as I mentioned, time is of the essence so we must make haste. It is imperative you get your things in order so you are able to travel.

I was very impressed in your last email about your ambition to continue to travel to other countries. It shows me you have the heart and dedication to get this mission completed. Many people in your position would be discouraged after what happened in your past travels, but you are keeping your eyes on the prize. Your focus is commendable my friend!

I believe Côte d'Ivoire is the next logical choice after Ghana. As I've mentioned in previous emails, I have traveled to west Africa and Côte d'Ivoire was one of the countries we ventured to. Moses, I must tell you, the St Paul's Cathedral in Abidjan is absolutely breathtaking! I highly suggest you visit there after your journey to Accra. For good Christian brothers like you and me, the Cathedral is a must see!

Anyway, I hope all is going well Moses. In your next email, please email me when you plan travel. Even if it is a rough estimate, please let me know.

Your friend,
-Gus

I have asked you a few times now on when you plan to travel, yet I have not been given an asnwer. Moses, I truly hope you plan on traveling soon because I do not want to delay this any further. In your next email, let me know the following things:

1.) When will you be traveling?

2.) How will you be traveling?

3.) Do you plan to go directly to Accra?

4.) Do you agree that Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire would be the next logical choice to travel to? There is over $32,000 in Abidjan waiting to be picked up.

In your next email, please let me know the answers to these questions as it is very important for me to be able to plan on my end to make certain everything goes smoothly.

Thank tou!

Your friend
-Gus

Hopefully he starts getting his lazy ass moving because I hate when a bait falls into a lull like this...
