Daddy has paid in full, but shows complete ignorance of spacing of grates, and doesn't even know the difference between size and spacing. The sheeper won't get money until I start making them, and I can't start making them until he tells me the spacing.

ETA: The sheeper has given me a porker in Gauteng.

Daddy paid 1400 of his bill, but that maxed the card. Should I report this card? It's already been posted by others in the thread.

^^ Report all of the cards you get. Better to have dupes (which will be handled) than to miss something.

Unfortunately, there was some issue with transferring the shipping costs to the shipper last night. Even more unfortunate is that one of his CC payments was reversed while that issue was being addressed. Will the pain never stop? Rolling Eyes

I told the shipper that we thought we had figured out why their transfer had failed but that we couldn't fix the problem until the customer finalized payment. Within 5 minutes Daddy coughed up another:

He's specified three spacings and four sizes of grates. He's specified that one of the spacings goes with two sizes of grates. But he hasn't said which size goes with which spacing.

I had to go out, so I decided to let him rest overnight, then ask in the morning which spacing goes with which grate size. I'll tell him that as soon as he tells me that, I'll start making the grates and send the money to the sheeper.

Daddy is incapable of remembering what he ordered. He cannot match sizes with spacings unless they're in the same message.

I need help. The lad is interested in 2 reams of valyrian steel and has asked for the weight. I don't know how many tons are in a ream, but I'm guessing a lot. So what should I quote for the weight? Does it matter?

/\ depends on what kind of a truck. tractor trailer, or tandam truck,. i use to work for a steel supply place in RL.
on weight is what your quoting depending on what kind of steel for ex. angle, plate tubing etc. most tractor trailers are licensed between 20,000 lbs up to 44,000 lbs. if over 40,000 lbs most states would require an Oversized permit. so on a truck i think you would be safe between 30,000 lbs and 40,000 lbs if that helps

The short answer is that It doesn't matter. They're going to have a shipping value embedded in their script no matter what weight you tell them....

If you get someone who's smart just remind them that Valyrian steel is more/less dense than normal steel.

Don't get wrapped around the axle on the details. Just focus on the bait!

Depends on the thickness. A ream is some number of sheets, the density of steel varies between 7.75 and 8.05 g/ml (you pick what it is for valyrian), then multiply the length, width, and thickness of a sheet, and multiply by the number of sheets in a ream (500 for paper IIRR, but I don't know about reams of steel). I keep a sheet with the mass and volume of every part a product lad has ordered. For transmission grates, I use sqrt(5) for the density of glass, reflection grates are made of aluminum, and parts like grammeters and megafferators, which are irregularly-shaped, I just make up numbers. Next time a lad orders size A8 grates, I have the mass and volume already computed.

Raton Group is phishy. The attached HTML file (which I had to decode manually because Gmail wrote a file and a directory of stuff when there's only a file attached) requires logging in with an email address.
