My characters are usually named after famous historical figures from Asian countries. No scammer has ever mentioned this, but it's easily explained "I'm named after him".

When i use a western name I prefer to use one that's unique (ie zero google hits from the name in quotes), and just be careful not to ever post that name.

My character is still Google proof, after almost 2 years of baiting. Wink

I never bothered with precautions because it never mattered. I suspect that most of the time it still doesn't, most lads don't spend their cafe time on Google. Still, I'm going to shift my future baits to my most generic character. If they try to find me I'll be on page 1,357 of the Google search.
