my dad then sent me a post card from my cat saying he had got a hot pussy pregnant and had to look after her and the kittens, he also said he would come to visit next year with the kittens, he never came home and i forgot all about it |

Bella. I lost my dog to cancer a month ago so I know what you're going through.
You'll never forget your cat but the pain will ease and eventually memories of the good times make things more bearable.
I don't know if what I did will be any good to you, but I went out and got another puppy straight away. He can't replace the one I lost but then I wouldn't expect him to. But he did help to take my mind off the pain and you might find that getting a kitten will help for your kids.
As for your Mum. Best wishes to her. I'd also say (from experience) that because she got to hospital in time, it's highly likely that everything will be OK. It's when you don't get there in time that you've got problems.
Keep your head up. |

What if the next time it isn't a cat, but a child? I don't think the dogs will make the distinction. Time to get serious with the owners.
I like the idea of planting a shade tree though. Good thought. |

Sorry about your day Bella, I hope the council are helpful - as the owner of 2 young children wild dogs worry me.
The owners are at least responsible for any vets fees - I dont know if there's the equivalent of the small claims court in OZ but that would at least teach them a lesson and could save other prople from misery.
Remember when dogs meet up with other loose dogs, they quickly revert to the Pack - I've seen it before and that is scary. |
