apparently the lad huggers never heard about George, a victim that the scammers burned alive. Or any of the other various stories about victims.

^^Well put, the victims who travel to 'sign documents' and end up murdered. How many of us baiters have received invitations to a lads home country? Most of us I would guess, and the chances of coming back if we were to go are pretty slim at least with all our limbs still attached. I really would suggest that anyone who feels we are too hard on the darling little lads should look up some real victim stories.

Sigh. The only good thing about that article is that it raises the public awareness about 419 fraud. The reporter hugs lads, confuses several issues and doesn't warn the public from attempting this at home.

I'm thinking about writing a brief outline for future press enquiries, but somehow I think I'd be wasting my time.

And before anyone else jumps on poor old ladhugger Zimmermann, does anyone know if this guy actually exists? I find it strange that the spokesman for an Interpol department dealing in web-crime doesn't have a single footprint on the net which I can find.

The Nigerian book review was an interesting read but very misguided considering that the vast majority of baiters keep repeating that not all Nigerians are criminals. We try to appreciate how the country suffers because of the actions of a small minority and actively tell people in these forums not to judge Nigeria because of the lads. The so called journalists are astoundingly poorly informed or in the case of the African book reviewer, ultra defensive.

For the record the first chat session went over three hours, not once did I decline to speak over a normal telephone.
