Well the doctor who finale was ace! I haven't even seen a lot of this series cos I didn't like David Tennant as the doctor and much preferred Eccleston - this episode changed my mind however. The fact that I love John Simm didn't hurt either
Don't like Catherine Tate though, not sure how I will take to her in the new series but I will just have to wait and see. I will also have to watch the rest of this series because I did clock the 'poster boy' reference but had no idea what the hell it meant! |

I'm old enough to remember ALL the Doctors from the original William Hartnell onwards. From the early incarnations I think I liked John Pertwee the best, but Patrick Troughton was OK too given the craptastic sets and techno available.
The Daleks never scared me that much, and since when could they FLOAT???? A well-placed staircase could always defeat even The Gold Dalek. I was always terrified of the Cybermen and my sister still freaks out at the mention of those giant fly/ant things the Zarbies. Anyone remember them?
I think the Doctor and the Bouncing Boobs woman was Colin Baker? NOT the inestimable Tom Baker who brought a lot of gravitas to the role.
The new stuff obviously has much better special effects and production and the scripts are wittier. Having some sexual tension between the Doctor and his plucky assistant Rose adds to the mix and I loved the Empty Child storyline which was very 'deep' and Blink was clever and horror movie rolled into one (both by the same writer). |

Boy this doctor really goes through companions. Time was he had one and that was it...perhaps two, but three in as many seasons. He's got to be asking himself..."is it me?" |
