I won't necro the old thread - but my dear firend Tutut| has recently e-mailed. I have to admit that I have been sending the odd vicious prod at him from the Russian gangster - but he can't let go.

My personal record is 13 months steadily on a bait. [About 300 vs 300 emails]

It seems to amaze some newbs that a bait can be kept going for weeks, never mind months...Plotting, pertinent/inane questions, going off-subject, and dazzling them are the way to go. But you know this. Wink

But as you and I know--plot your bait well in advance and it's easy to stretch it for 2-3 months or more, at the least. Anticipation of the Lads based on their track record is the key to stalling them further. Once they are in deep with you they are reluctant to sever the link--hey, you're the only 'action' going that they have.

But then the only chances I've had to call have been at bad hours in that time zone, so that might not mean anything.

Lads sometimes google the names they use. Some of us use 133t 5p34k here to avoid revealing to them that they are being baited.

I'm now into my 5th month with this Lad (Dr.Mugu) with photos and we're still going strong! Twisted Evil

I've got a variety of baiting "irons in the fire" with him. Here are only some:

Dr.Mugu finally managed to get a flash of the MTCN at ($6,000). [This hooked him firmly yet again.] But it seems the flash was too fast for him to catch. Oh dear, what can the matter be? Eyesight? His computer? Their computer? Senility? Nefarious deeds by disgruntled employees contemplating strike action? ... All of the above??

And just then, wouldn't you know it--the employees did go on strike. Now Mugu has to deal with the Manager, a flustered and over-worked Chief Operating Officer who knows nothing about computers, can barely speak English, is easily insulted, and is quick to anger.

--Mugu found this out recently when he accused the Chief of lying to him! (The chief is a personal friend of mine doing me a special favour during the strike.) This personal insult controversy has now been going on for a couple of weeks. I can see the only way Mugu is going to win back the Chief's help is by writing out by hand some long passages of the Bible or something. I've got that in the works.

--I also recently got Mugu to inhabit yet another one of my characters. And so Mugu's gotten pretty creative, too, having to answer some difficult questions. As this new character, he explained away his long silence as being the result of hospitalization due to a motor vehicle accident. And get this, this new character has hit me up for $2,000 for his medical bills!! I couldn't believe his nerve!! Laughing

So of course, I've agreed to extend him a short term loan. A bait within a bait! ... I can see it all now -- he's in for one hell of a red-tape and paper-work nightmare! Twisted Evil

Plans here include seeing the actual medical bills and receipts, multiple fee requisitions, medical questionnaires and...who knows, maybe yet another security photo Laughing

--Also, no matter what happens with all that, the 90 day security escrow is due to expire this month (and I'm pretty sure he's forgotten about that!) Western Union sends "his" $6,000 straight back to my employer's bank. God knows how long it is going to be before Mugu gets to be reminded of that old news . . .
