@Saltire. I have seen so much sympathy on this forum by members to victims.(Maybe read a few of the older 'victim need help' threads) Your comments were unfounded and taken as a personal insult.
The victim in this particular thread (marilynjodi) doesn't seem to be particuarly devistated by her/his experience and was just asking a question, to which Kliendoofy replied.

Your advice however :"if the scammer has your home adress etc then by all means bait him but frm a different email name. " In my opinion, is incorrect.
If the scammers have ANY personal information then drop them like a red hot potato.

You said you have a vast experience in victim support and thats a great thing and if you read the stickies you would see there are stickies for victims of scams buit the majority of people here are not here for victim support.
We try to stop the scammers getting to potential victims in the first place. There are people here with victim support skills and they do help as far as they can but, the primary objective of this site is baiting and as such most of us, I guess, are not experienced in that field.

Please do not feel like you were being patronised I do not believe that was the case here...

The truth is the truth no matter how you phrase it, and KD's post was spot on. The fact that it wasn't phrased the way you would have liked it to be is inconsequential.

I find your knee-jerk reaction to a post on a forum to which you just joined, and the subsequent hijacking of a thread to deal with your ruffled feathers, annoying.

Saltire, relax ok no one is shooting anyone else, Kleindoofy shoots from the hip sometimes but it's just kleindoofy's way, stay around and get to know people and their ways before you take it personal.

Kleindoofy does a good job like everyone else here, or at least we try to and sometimes things can get a little heated but once you have been around for a little while you will get used to the way people do things here, so remember it is not personal, Unless? Oh thats another story Wink

In some cases, that is exactly the approach you should use.

In this particular case, it was the ONLY approach to use as there was no reason to mince words or get "bleeding heart liberal" about it.

Kleindoofy's answer was very clear and to the point. There was no room for interpretation, or error. It likely saved Marilynjodi some grief.

Now just to show goodwill, I think Kleindoofy and Saltire should both submit pictures of themselves standing naked in front of a large ham, or turkey with a sign that says: "I love Fatbastard!"
