It's a dutch news site.

The highlights of the story are that 2 men were caught on schiphol ariport as they were leaving the country and the other 3 were arrested in amsterdam. during houseraids the police found cash and administration for the fraud. The amsterdam police is working together with the us postal inspection service cause most off the vics are american

It's nice to see that the dutch police is doing something against 419 scammers

If anyone finds any photographs of the accused, I'd love to see them. In 2004 I got photo trophies from an Amsterdam scammer, and it'd be nice if I could see my old friend again, now in much better circumstances. Twisted Evil

I just opened up a topic with the same news item. I should have looked better.

I spent two entire days with the computer forensics team in the Netherlands to nail those lads a few weeks ago. Gave the police 2 different IPs, 4 bank accounts, 5 phone numbers and 2 fax numbers. Great news they caught them finally.

Do you know the best part yet?
The main suspect(s) will be sent to the USA for their trials. They could go to jail for up to 10 years in the USA and the sentencing in Holland is a laughing stock when it comes down to scammers. Rolling Eyes

So on the one hand the Dutch police made themselves look good and on the other hand the Dutch justice department got off easy since the Americans are going to sentence those scum*&$& to jail.

Wasn't just me peeps, they were already on their trail. Of a thousand puzzle pieces they had 999. I just handed the last puzzle piece to them. I just had one of them. There were also some private companies involved in tracking them down, they had tracked five, including the one I had.

I spent a lot of time last year at the Marechaussee (border police) office at Schipol giving them many leads, IP's, phone numbers, and so on. I am glad that maybe it has paid off.

Where will the scammers move to next now that Holland is closing in on them?

They'll probably stay there. Conditions are way to good for them to leave. There's broadband internet everywhere, hundreds of thousands of wireless access points at stores, gas stations, restaurants. And in cities like Amsterdam, they blend right in.
