This arrived this morning and it confused me. It seems to me the lad is begging me, almost ordering me to set up an appointment with the bank manager to discuss payment options to receive my consignment box.

This urgent message should be good for several more exchanges as it raises so many questions....and delays.

Ah,,,,
he is trying to get you to do a direct deposit into the receiviers account...not transfer it.

My characters always get confused by this too.

But I don't bank at that bank.
I do all my banking online.
But I would have to go to my bank and withdraw the money anyway, so it will save time if I just transfer it.
I have not signed up for direct deposit
etc Smile

Sorry, a bit of background.
He gave me a pig and of course I went to the bank right away only to be asked who the recipient was. My character could not answer, and I was advised by the bank not to send money to persons unknown. (Apparently it is the financial secretary of the bogus financial service). So I told him I was going to print out all the "paperwork" and take it to the bank to demonstrate the legitimacy of this transfer.
That is what set him into panic mode about not dealing with the bank. It was just fun to read him repeating and repeating his warning not to deal directly with the bank.

I just thought if I put his mind at ease and told him I had an appointment with the assistant manager to discuss this he would go further into panic mode.

I usually ignore this, my character travels and he cannot go into bank so he only does online banking which needs 5 days for international transfers.

And it always fails a day between "clearing in a bank due to various other things".

Lads usually whine when I cannot transfer in bank they ask for, but how can you deposit to TD Bank from Ukraine Very Happy

This poor woman is getting told off by both the financial officer and the retired Senator. She was going to tell the bank a thing or two...now she is being ordered not to. A very confusing time for her.

Sir:

My head is spinning with all this and I really don't understand. The bank never said it wouldn't send the money, it just said I shouldn't send money to people I don't know. That is why I wanted to show them the papers and that is why I made an appointment with the assistant manager to prove them wrong with your emails and not let them push me around.

So what do I tell the bank now? I am so confused by this.

My Dear Mrs. Emma please i want you to listen to me now, i know that this problem was cost by Mr. James and he did not inform me in time on what is going on, please do not go to the bank again from now on forget anything about the bank payment from now please and please do not think of going back to the bank again to make any payment to them bank again and dont go with any document to them bank anymore or to show the any proof please for now do not think of going there again

So for now do not go there again i ask for there forgivenes please just go to western union and send the money to me with the money so that i will pay the money to Mr. James account to use his Card to withdrawal the money please listen to me and do as i have told you here is the information once again

Oh no! Now I feel so foolish! I booked an appointment at the bank with the assistant manager and left an email message and a voicemail telling them that you and Mr Jackson were upset with them, and that they were pushing me around and I should not trust them since they were not working in my best interests. I told them I'd be bringing proof. Now what do I tell them? I was worked up! I spoke hastily. I even told the manager he will be kissing my cute backside after our meeting. (Though I secretly think he wants to.....)
How do I back out of the appointment now?

This looks so bad for me since it is my own bank!!! I have to think of an escape plan here.

Mrs. Emma the problem i always have with you is that you dont listen to my adivce or listen to Senator adivce i have told you on my last email that you should not go back to the bank again that you should stop going there to show them any thing or to talk about anything conerninging this consignment why you can never listen to me for once or follow my adivce i told you that i have talk with Senator and he told me that the best thing you sould do now is for you to send him the money by westen union

Hey I saw the whole thing, you DID NOT go to the bank. You sent your crazy uncle Ralph who helps you out. Ralph believes that invisible wombats are trying to take over the world.

Well people say he is crazy, he says some stuff that makes sense.

Poor Emma is even further in trouble with the lad. Now he is missing his beauty sleep because of her. He really doesn't want her discussing this with the bank!

Mrs. Emma what i dont like in my life is when someone will not listen to my advice now am not happy with you now this is about 11:53 PM here in Nigeria and by now i would have been sleeping but i was trying to make sure that by tomorrow everything will be fine, this is the same issue Mr. James has been telling me that you dont listen to him or his advice, i have told you that you should not worry about the bank anymore and you should not ever go there to talk about this same delivering until you receive your consignment from Mr. James

She feels his wrath and is going hysterical.

Mr Senator I am replying now. Please let Mr Jackson know too as I can't bear to type this twice I'm so upset with myself.

Listen to me please as you might do this business all the time but I don't and it's new to me and I'm scared. When the bank said they didn't want me sending money to people I didn't know, they were helping me, I understand that. So that's why I made the appointment because once they saw all the paperwork they will see this is all good and send the transfer. Why wouldn't they?

What do I do about the messages I left at the bank that you were upset with them? And how we were going to "show them" who was in charge? I even said they would be kissing my behind! This is my bank!!!! How do I go in there now and not get laughed at? I need a tall drink right now.

So going on for 1 am in Nigeria, the lad is still not sleeping and seems to be throwing his hands up in resignation that he is not getting thru to her.

Okay Mrs. Emma if you going to the bank will make you happy please go to the bank and once you are back please do let us know okay

So now the lad has done a 180* on whether to go to the bank, which confuses her more.

Sir:

Men always say women cannot make up their minds, and now you have changed your mind again! So am I to go to the bank or not? I'm not doing this to make me happy as I'm embarrassed now. But I can still go. I'm torn apart by all this back and forth.
I'm going to bed and taking a sleeping pill.

By tomorrow she might have to go back to square one with these lads and start from scratch....in a very thorough and pedantic manner so they don't mess things up a second time.
