So, for the first time ever I decided to respond to an email from a lad where I knew I would have to "purchase check printing software", print checks and mail them. Figured it would be worth investigating. I have been wasting this lads time for quite a while now (there were lots of delays getting the checks and I had some personal issues- ha) but finally I have convinced him I am all set and have received my first 22 USPS Priority Mail labels with the recipient names and addresses as well as the 22 checks for $2,546 to insert in and mail. They are drafted on Robins Financial Credit Union Warner Robbins GA - small bank.

I apologize if someone has answered this or it's pinned somewhere but how do I report? Do I report? Do I google the 22 and try to find and warn them?

I have 22 poor souls who expect a check for whatever he is having them do (car wrapping I assume). I have their names and real addresses. I have the bank info and account on the fake check.

Long story long he has stolen a pre-paid USPS account as the labels he sent are paid for, he has these victims on the hook and I have all the info. A quick google revealed that he has been doing this for years. (I was able to get three different names out of him as he kept making mistakes replying from different emails).

Suggestions?

Also, once the bait is done, you may want to publish it, so that other baiters will know how to bait this sort of scam. Maybe write an article for Eater U.

Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to attach all the PDF's of mailing labels and checks so I emailed to Rover to pass along to whomever appropriate. Hopefully that works!

The lad is getting angry that the tracking numbers aren't showing up - looks like there was an issue at the post office. Smile

- I'll have to stop by there and check on it. Ha

I did finally talk to him on the phone and he's relatively well spoken, aggressive (as they all are) and started pushing me on things lads normally don't. Very specific questions. Probably a reason this guy has so many victims from many different baits and names. Ugh. I'll keep working him. Hate when I sense a lad has victimized thousands like this one presumably has.
