anti scamming mail

I've noticed a couple of emails from someone pleading for me to stop contact with scammers

the reason why you are paying scammers to compensate you. I am ready
to go into agreement with you but you need to give me assurance that
you are not going to let me down once you claim your funds. I want to
bring back your faith that all that you have lost in the hands of the
crooks will never be a waste if you can stop contact with them and
face your real transaction here.

Let me lose my family if you receive a cent from those fools. Stop
contact with scammers. A word is enough for the wise. These guys will
destroy your life and put you in a serious debt. I am a family man
and I will be the last fool to lie to you.

Just wondering if this is the real deal, and some good guy has got hold of a scammers email list or if theres an angle here.

Any ideas or experience with this?

Looks like it could be from a lad who will claim he can help you recover lost money from a previous scam or offer you some other kind of deal. Why not reply and see what the next email from him offers you if you want to be sure.

I think I may do that. It could be the start of a recovery scam like you say.

well spotted, I just thought that was just a poorly translated "Please dont let me down by keeping in contact with the scammers" type of line.

The angle is so big it's almost a straight line. Let's take a look at some of the key lines in the format:

Quote:

Please, stop contact with scammers before is too late for you.

Translation: I know you are a victim that will keep on paying. Please send me the money instead of my competition.

Quote:

Your funds are interact.

Translation: I don't know what BS/format my competition is using, but I'll tell you there is still money for you.

Quote:

I am ready to go into agreement with you but you need to give me assurance that you are not going to let me down once you claim your funds.

Translation: I'm ready to send you some faked up documents, too, but you need to promise you'll pay me for something that doesn't exist.

Quote:

Translation: I want to convince you to send me money, but you need to stop sending it to them, first. Then you can face your other fake transaction here.

Quote:

Translation: I'll lie to you. Seriously. You should believe this, if nothing else.

Quote:

Translation: See, this part isn't a lie. And I want to scam you just like "these guys."

Translation: I'm a lying asshole and there will be many other fools trying to lie to you.

As you can see, this is set up to convince someone who is known to have paid to pay again.

Go get 'em. This 419 format can be baited just like any other. Just remember to bait safe and have fun.

I have only been baiting seriously, for a short time, but I believe the amount of lads that have done what I quoted above, is around zero! Laughing

Some more experienced baiters may know of one, but if they say they have changed, the next sentence will usually be a plead for some small amount, so that they won't starve. Rolling Eyes

I had one recently stating the same, I then started getting them from the FBI saying they were tracking me and I should pay the money to my Lad as he was the real thing and was not going to scam me!!

I thought it was quite good of the FBI to take the time out to reassure me Smile

I have now created a new character as a "Lad" and we have arguing about leaving me alone!!
