...this just gave me a laugh, maybe someone else will get one out of it too.

Standard WU boilerplate to start. Lad sends his 'ID':

...and eventually it petered out, mostly 'cos I forgot that I was setting this up for a chop by my character's 'personal carer', 'Lenny' Riztik.

Five months go by. Then yesterday, out of the blue, he's at it again...

Altogether, we're starting to wonder whether Rev Dr Chieshe might have a point. 'Lenny' shows me videos of his grandchildren in Australia that way all the time! He's very proud of them!

...and it goes back and forth for a few days, with the Colonel trying to get the lad to hold up a baiting sign etc etc. The problem is that the lad's stolen the picture of a Nigerian politician, and so video is hard to do. But he's just had a 'brain'wave! And this is what he just sent me...

Dumb question for smart IT types - this lad has just sent me what he claims is another video, but it's encrypted this time with a .pgp suffix after the .mp4. Is he bullshitting me with a junk file of his own? Or has he just screwed up, classic lad-style?

Of course the Colonel won't be able to open the file, but I wouldn't mind having a look just in case it's for real. Thoughts/assistance, anyone?

More fun from our lad! After he sent the Colonel the second, upside-down video, I thought I'd see if I could work the 'sagba hunt' angle. So, the Colonel writes:

What I didn't realise was that the same lad was also sending me emails as 'Inspector Mohammed Ahmed Alhässan of Interpol':

Actually the Colonel had given him the brush-off months ago when the promised 'ID' card wasn't attached to an email. The Colonel points this out, and back comes:

^ that is, indeed, the same guy on the left. What the lad is trying to claim is that the absolutely identical bloke in the picture he sent is not the same Photoshopped head as it clearly is!

Even the Colonel hasn't been taken in by this, and he's fuming! But there's more...we'll just see what the morning's mail brings in...10:30 AM in Lagos, they should be stirring fairly soon...
