Y'know, I think you're quite right. My character, an elderly ex-army officer, isn't going to take a question of patriotism like this at all lightly. After all, as 'Ambassador James William' is saying himself:

...vids and photos might not come off anyway, since the lad is impersonating a 'former American ambassador to the Benin Republic' who never actually existed...whence my notion of getting him to hand-write the Declaration of Independence, complete with annotations explaining their personal understanding of each paragraph...like we all had to do in Civics class in high school, right? |
