I beg your indulgence since technically this could go in the news story thread. However, every once in a while a story like this serves as a motivator to keep up the fight against the lads.

Below is a link to a story on the sorted tale of a romance scam victim turned embezzler who stole £500,000 and was sent to jail for 32 months

This is probably against the party line here but... When a victim knowingly commits a major crime such as embezzling funds from their company on the promis of a windfal for themselves, in my opinion, they have crossed the line from vic to lad.

It depends on each individual case of course and "knowingly committing a major crime" is where someone is crossing a line. Just as with drug mules which range the spectrum from professional smugglers to people who carry drugs unknowingly; money mules range from those who become complicit in fraud (such as the case above) themselves to those who commit fraud unknowingly (believing the lad's lies about why they're doing a single transfer for example).
