Have read all the books and am waiting for the next one to come out. I watched just one episode on DVD, one time, but didn't find it as agreeable as the books. Razz

I read the books. Only watched the pilot. If you start a thread on "Preacher", I'm there.

I thought this was a thread where bware and Ghost are baiting. am not amused

TV/film adaptations are rarely as good as books, but GoT is something you really shouldn't miss out on! If you ever do decide to watch it, at least you'll have a huge amount of quality material to keep you going for quite a while.

If the LoTR ever gets the TV series treatment, my life will be complete.

I read all the books and joined in the tv series the moment it became available to me. They're very different beasts, I somewhat favour the books but probably only because i was exposed to them first and had all sorts of rich imagery that sometimes jarred with the realisation on screen.

I haven't read much of anything else that's been written and am blissfully unaware of weird speculations or even conventional ones. I always enjoyed the bits that very gradually unwound, so was particularly irritated by the last couple of episodes' breakneck speed.

They're planning on filming not just one, but possibly FOUR prequel series of ASoIaF. There's also the Sci-Fi thing he did, which is starting production fairly soon.

If you have HBO you should have access to HBO GO and all 7 seasons are available on demand.

Anywho, what was up with the "children". They appeared at the end of season 5 I think. They looked like children. Dirty children but children nonetheless. The next season they looked completely different. Nothing like children anymore and were no longer dirty. Again, what's up with that?

Also, do you think Jon Snow is fire proof like Danny? I know her bother wasn't and if that's Jon's real father I wonder. Drogon seemed to sense he had dragon blood.

Different brother. Plus the non-fireproof brother was a douche, which the dragon gods probably frowned on (Hey, if there can be a drowned god, and the god of death, and the one true god, and the old gods and the seven gods, there can be dragon gods!).
