Hi everyone,
By chance I have stumbled on this recent video: removed youtube link because it's repugnant -Padme
Long story short: 45 year small fat man with 2 daughters found 22 year old nigerian woman that has the hots for him online, they have been in contact for 3 years now. The guy wants to fly over to nigeria and is looking for money to do so.
He got pranked with a prank call. The prank caller (author of this video) as well as his subscribers are now "supporting" the guy with funding his trip to Nigeria:
removed gofundme link with identifying information -Padme
Honestly, this reminds me too much of a nigerian 419 scam where the guy will get robbed/kidnapped after he arrives in Nigeria. Do you agree? If yes, could anyone reach out to the guy and warn him.

DarthMugu that is disturbing. I've taken note of the victim's details and deleted the link as it contains their information, which we don't want posted publically. I've also deleted the link to the "prank call" posted by the people who thought it was a good idea to "bait" a vulnerable scam victim for youtube clicks.

I tweeted at him, he said he video chatted her. Not a man posing at least.

^^^ Video chat can be faked. The girl is likely a scammer anyway, or at least complicit.
My favourite bystander comment from the GoFundMe the guy has going in an effort to meet his Nigerian scammer:

Finding victims anywhere is horrible. Again, if anyone ever finds details on victims the best thing to do is to forward those details to any moderator. Please do not post personal details about people, who are not your lads, on eater. |

We don't judge victims here. And we sure as hell don't encourage their interactions with scammers. There are some comments in this thread that are beyond disappointing. As Padme said, in the future, if you see victims of Advance Fee Fraud, send the info to a Moderator so we can get support through ScamWarners.
