Must say I've been a fan of this site for a long time.

I've read all the archived stories and they are amazing.

Just got engaged with a scammer (2 emails sent and received) and looking for tips and ideas for the story Smile

maybe you could join in for more fun Smile

It appears you may be emailing this criminal using your real life identity. For your safety and to allow your anonymity (if this were the case), I edited some info above. If you have used fictional information, emailed the scammer from an address with no ties to your real life, then I will apologize. Otherwise, these are criminals and we advise you do not contact them with anything tied to your real life and you should just drop this with no further contact.

There are plenty of other lads that would enjoy you contacting them from a fake profile/email.

Looks like you have a good lad here, seems easy to get off script. My advice is to keep asking questions (one at a time, no more than one email a day) to get him further off script and draw things out as long as possible. Your story will come to you as things progress, and I'm sure your readings of baits here have given you some ideas as well.

I think you are right... I should be keeping him anticipated and sending no more than one email a day... Its hard, though lol...
Gona start asking him for weird stuff soon. Kinda say to him the money can be released from my church fund but that will require certain things from him... Need to come up with some ideas though...

I found it hard to follow the one email a day rule, too, so I started baiting many lads concurrently. Now I always have multiple lads to play with each day. Also, I often exchange 3-4 emails in the same day with a lad but then go silent for a few days. That will drive them nuts, too.

I'll ask him to explain.
Then I will kinda say that there's possibility of a payment released from my church fund but it will require proving devotion to God and will ask him if he wants to participate... If he does then I'll start asking for stuff... Say to handwrite the first 5 pages of the Bible.

One more tip, if your character is old & confused - start referring to the fee as $3500 instead of $350. It never hurts to jack the fee up and dangle even more money in front of them.

Usually they will run with the higher amount. Once or twice I've had a dense lad who corrects me, but I just keep referring to the higher amount until the light bulb goes on over their head. Mr. Green

How do youse go about the postal address when asking them to send stuff over? I obviously don't want to give them my own address....

Make up your own address and city. I like to base my characters in Silver Peak, Nevada. It is a ghost town with no residents but a zip code (89047). In my world it has lots of banks, a community college (Go Scorpions!) but sadly no Western Union or Moneygrams.
