Have any of you ever experienced a real attempted dollar chop in any of your baits? I'm 99% sure it happened to me one time. The lad went from speaking terrible English, typing in all caps, and threatening to cancel the transaction to speaking nearly perfect English and trying to take it slower in order to gain my trust. The second lad emailed me from a new email address and told me not to contact the "imposter" (the first lad). They also were seemingly not working with each other, with one giving me a piggy and the other one refusing.
It was either me getting passed to the oga with a really odd script, or it was a dollar chop. |

I think the dollar chop baiting method works because real "chops" do exist.
See also: why some lads want the payment slip so badly. If payment really has been made they want their cut!
I've also experienced a few cases where scammers advised me to avoid contact with a specific email address that was formerly involved in the conversation. I imagine this was a falling out among thieves or perhaps an email box compromised by another scammer. |

Alternatively, I assume there are cases where the scammer is relieved of his post by superiors in the criminal organization (perhaps for incompetence) and replaced with a new underling. |

^that happens all the time, though incompetence isn't necessarily the reason. One person sends out the script and exchanges a couple of emails with whoever responds, after which they ask you to contact the "barrister" or "diplomat" (actually the chief/oga, who is more experienced and speaks better English) |
