Closing Vanity Accounts

I noticed a lot of users talking about "closing accounts" and I was wondering how that was done. I don't want to close my regular baits but I have around 3 vanity accounts and I was interested in closing them down when I finish up.

If it's a lad's account at a free email service, we do not close them down. We post them at Scamwarners so that possible victims can find them and know that they're scammers. If, however, they're at domains which the lad paid for, we do close them down. This requires email headers to prove that the domain is in use for fraud.

If that's not what you're talking about, please explain!

The only "accounts" I talk about closing are lads' bank accounts. Pisses 'em off and costs them precious cash. A most rewarding pastime, perhaps that what you meant?

If they are your own email address it should be possible to shut them down, depending on the provider. Typically this can be found under "close my account".

Many people just stop using them, leaving them "active" but such accounts often get compromised especially if the password is weak.
