A gold seller named Azim emailed Pastor Moses out of the blue. I have no recollection of this lad at all... clearly we weren't able to come up with any agreement. It looks like he's back, and hopefully more eager to earn some business this time!
| Quote: |
Hello Mr Moses
its been a long time since we lastly spoke hope business is doing well.we were wondering if you are still in need of gold bars as we have got some in great quantity which we are looking forward to supply to any ready buyer.
The last time we hard to do business the was a lot of differences we hard to talk on.we were hoping you could get along and do real business with our improved conditions and procedures. We work CIF with no permit or any form of upfront payments until good have been shipped to buyers location. Please get back to me if you would like use to do business.
Regards |
Moses isn't entirely sure who this lad is, He also doesn't really need any gold right now... but his good friend Dan is still looking for some.
| Quote: |
Hello,
Do you work for Mr. Obi? If so, please let him know that I am no longer interested in doing business with him. I referred one of my church members Dan to him in good faith and has not yet delivered the gold from Ghana. Dan told me that he has paid over $9000 in fees and has not yet received his gold. I have been buying my gold here locally in the USA because although it is more costly it is much easier dealings.
Pastor Moses |
Lad tries to clarify:
| Quote: |
Hello Pastor Moses
How are you doing and thanks for getting back to me.I am not Mr Obi and i am a seller of gold bars and diamond stones.Regarding what you just told me of the fact that Mr Obi has taking more than the sum of $9000 in fees for gold bars from Mr Dan is a prof of bad faith and this has been one of the main problem in this industry. If you can tell Mr Dan to contact me directly and give me all the details of the money he paid to Mr Obi we can help him recover his gold and his money spent. We can help him get a lawyer and then all the money he has spent and the gold if its in his name will be assigned and sent to him.
I am sorry for all the problems this has caused you and i know it has made you not to trust people.pleas tell Mr Dan to contact me so i can advice him on the procedure to take so he can recover his money and the gold.
Regards |
Moses is happy to hear he's not a fraudstar:
| Quote: |
Hello Mr Azim,
I am very glad to hear that you are not associated with Mr. Obi. Honestly I feel very bad that I ever put that man in contact with my friend Dan because it was me who recommended him. I have been telling the members of my church to make good investments in tangible things like land, gold, and such. When Mr. Obi contacted me about having discount gold in Ghana I thought it would be a good opportunity for us all. But this Mr. Obi charged outrageous fees for shipping and forms and all such nonsense.
From now on I have decided that I am only going to buy gold in the United States. Dan is still very much interested in buying gold at a discount from Africa, but he tells me that he wants to fly there and buy it in person rather than have it shipped. The only problem is that we don't know any other African gold sellers except for Mr. Obi, and we certainly won't be doing business with him again!
Pastor Moses |
Azim assures Moses that he is reputable:
| Quote: |
Hello Mr Moses
thanks for getting back to me in such short notice. i am a reputable gold seller with all documents ready and government certified. You friend Mr Dan can come to Cameroon and get the gold for him self that the is no problem we will be ready to receive him at any time. I will be glad to be of service and can assist him in getting gold from Cameroon or even invite him to come to Cameroon and get the gold i can even send him a sample. You just have to tell Mr Dan to contact me and we will move forward.
Another thing is if he want me to help him recover his money and the gold he bought from Mr Obi the will be no problem. We will give him the gold at a very great rice and help him with getting all the documents. Just get back to me when ever you guys need my help
Regards |
| Quote: |
Hello Pastor Moses
I will be very grateful if you can refer Mr Dan to me so we can proceed on how to get his lost funds and the gold or if we have to start a new process and get to start a different business deal with my company.
Regards |
Pastor Moses agrees to give his infors to Dan:
| Quote: |
Hello again,
Yes, I would be glad to send give your email to Dan. I am uncertain whether he will want to do business or not, but I am happy to forward your information to him.
What country do you mine in? The last I spoke with Dan about this, he said that he wanted to travel directly to the mine and make a large purchase in person with one of the miners in Africa. Is this something you could provide for him?
I will see Dan at church at Sunday Services and I will let him know about you.
Pastor Moses |
I wonder if Dan is still looking for gold... |

I'm very interested to see where you take this. Let me know if you need another buyer too. Roger could definitely be persuaded to buy some gold. |

Dan contacts Azim:
| Quote: |
Hello, my name is Dan Hamilton. I was given your email address by pastor.
I understand you are a gold dealer. To be honest, I have had very bad dealings with a gold dealer recently and I am reluctant to buy gold from anyone over the internet right now. I lost a considerable amount of money.
Can you tell me what your gold is selling for and where you are located? I would want to inspect the gold myself.
Regards, Dan |
Gold lad stuff:

<snip a bunch of cut/paste gold lad BS)

Thanks |
Dan gives him more details on his failed gold deal:
| Quote: |
Hello Sir,
Thank you for the informations. Yes I had a very difficult time with my last gold deal. The man told me that he could ship the gold but after each payment he would keep making me pay more and more. Little fees of a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. It was very frustrating and he was very unprofessional. I did not like his methods of business.
I have decided that I won't be doing any gold deals outside of the USA unless I am able to travel there and inspect the gold so that I know it actually exists and is for sale. I have my doubts that Mr. Obi even had any gold for sale at all. I even made all of the arrangements necessary to see the gold that he had for sale. He said it was in Nigeria. But then he stopped responding to my emails.
I would need to see a sample of the gold in person before I transferred any large payments. My wife Betty was very upset with me over all this.
Regards, Dan |
He explains to Dan how gold scams work...
| Quote: |
Mr Dan
Thank you for the mail you sent. Best of my knowledge there is no gold
mine in Nigeria. That is how scammers keep asking for money from
buyers and at the end they run away.
Scammers do pretend of having gold but at the end they do not show any
gold. If you can travel to Africa you inspect the gold before paying
any money.
Here in Africa if you come you are going to buy more cheaper and also
meet genuine sellers or miners.
How many kilogram of gold do you want us to start with?
When do you intent coming to Africa ?
Add me on whatsapp <snip Cameroon number> let talk more better. Am going to
assist you for gold to reach your final destination. We just need to
work in good faith and see how we can make a deal.
Waiting to hear from you so that we can proceed.
Thanks |
Dan is still hung up on his failed deal with Mr. Obi:
| Quote: |
Hello Mr. Azim,
This is very frustrating for me to hear, but unfortunately I think you might be right about Mr. Obi being a scammer. I had paid him thousands in fees and I demanded that he send me a sample of the gold to prove that he was a real gold miner. He promised to send it to me but the package was stopped by customs at the Nigerian border and they told me I needed to pay another $5,000 in customs fees to release the gold. It made me extremely mad because Mr. Obi did not tell me that there would be any custom fees to pay. Well I paid the $5,000 and then the customs told me that due to the amount of gold that was being shipped it was going to be an additional $5,000!!
I told Mr. Obi that I would not pay another dollar until I had seen the gold in person and I arranged to meet him in Abuja, Nigeria but he kept asking for more and more money. Travel expenses and other rubbish! Finally he stopped responding completely with me and I have lost well over $10,000 from this whole deal.
I am also frustrated with myself for not listening to my lovely wife Betty. She was the one that encouraged me to travel to Africa to see the mine in person before sending him all of the money. Betty is a smart woman, and I have most definitely learned my lesson! I am just glad that I did not pay Mr. Obi for the entire 20 kilograms that I had arranged to purchase from him.
So I see that your gold is in Cameroon. How far is that from Nigeria? I have 4 grandchildren, and I would like to purchase 5 kilograms for each grandchild as an investment for their future. So the total purchase would be 20 kilograms. What would your price be for this amount of gold?
Regards, Dan |

Thanks for the respond.
Mr Dan I prefer if you are coming to Africa we meet in Ghana because Ghana have good refineries to test gold and they do have much more security.
Right now in Cameroon there is instability so we meet in Ghana next week if you want. You send to me a copy of your passport for your invitation letter.
Am going to sell a kilogram of gold for $28000 including taxes, freight, insurance and custom clearance. In that case you are not going to have any problem with the gold on transit or in your country you have all papers.
Therefore the 20kg gold is going to be $28000 x 20kg gold = $560,000USD.
Waiting to hear from you so that we can start preparation for your coming. Am going to ensure 100% security for you and also you need to book a hotel before your coming.
You just need to have it in mind that Mr Obi is a scammer he don't have any gold. There are no gold mine in Nigeria,Cameroon is a neighbouring country to Nigeria.
I can also be your regular supplier of gold after you buy for your grand children, you can locate buyers for me to supply gold to them we do have 300kg gold bar available and ready for shipment and it's 100% free from any terrorist ownership.
I prefer when buyer come we meet face to face and deal. You are going to make payment for the gold only when you see, test and confirm the gold purity and carats before you make transfer to our bank account.
We are also going to assist you travel with the gold safely and secured to your final destination.
Let me know if it's possible for you to come buy next week.
And with Mr Obi after you pay the $5000 he is going to give you another bill so just forget about him let us proceed.
Add me on whatsapp or you give me your number to add you let easy communication.
Thanks |
Dan is interested but has some questions:
| Quote: |
Good day to you Mr. Azim,
Yes I am considering your offer. Your price does sound reasonable. But I do not understand, you said in your earlier email that the gold is in Cameroon but now you are saying that it is in Ghana? I will need to know where I need to travel to see the gold.
I also need to talk to my wife Betty about all this. She wants me to be safe of course. When I was a much younger man I did travel to Africa. Morocco to be specific. But Morocco was a relatively safe country. I know that Nigeria is a relatively safe country but I'm not entirely sure about Ghana. I will need to consult with Betty about this.
In the meantime, it is very late here and I am getting up early for Sunday Services tomorrow.
Regards, Dan |
He assures Dan that Ghana is a safe country:
| Quote: |
Hi
Thanks for the respond. Origin of the gold is Cameroon and Cameroon don't have a good refinery to test or refine so I prefer we meet in Ghana which is one of the saved country in Africa.
Mr Dan you need to have no worries your security is 100% guarantee you can even come along with your wife so you both can see the gold test, confirm and make transfer or payment.
Regarding the price tell me how much do you want to pay for a kilogram of gold? Try and talk to your wife so by next week you can send your passport copies for invitation and visa processing.
The purity do ranges from 92% to 99% and the prices also differ which is been base on the carats and purity percentage we can arrange the price it's negotiable.
Am a young man and a God fearing am going to like to have a long term deal with you and your family.
Have a review with your wife so we can start arrange for your coming to Ghana we have a refinery and I mine in Ghana but the gold which is available the origin is Cameroon. Cameroon is not secured now because of the boko haram and political instability so we do all are sales in Ghana all are international buyers do come to our office in Ghana.
Talk to your wife and let me know also extern my greetings to her give to me a telephone number which I can reach you via calls or WhatsApp.
Thanks |
But Dan still isn't sure about Ghana...
| Quote: |
Thank you sir, your information is most appreciated.
Unfortunately, Betty is in poor health and would not be able to travel for such a long distance, but she does take much interest in my business ventures and I have always valued her opinions on such matters.
While I do appreciate your assurances of security of travel, we must be honest with each other. Africa can be a dangerous place in some areas. This is particularly true for a white man like myself. I will need to do my own research and make sure that I can be comfortable with doing such a large purchase with safety. After all, I have my wife Betty, 2 children and 4 lovely grandchildren whom I love dearly, and no amount of gold is worth risking the chances of not seeing them again.
I also would like to speak with Pastor Moses whom you have already spoken with. I recall that he may know someone in Africa who may have some insight on this matter. I just want to ensure that I am doing things properly and that everything goes completely smoothly.
Also what is Whastapp?
Regards, Dan |
