Lately ive found that cold calling scammers is getting a little more tricky and the old way of putting your email address into a guest book seems to be the better option.
A few occasions lately ive emailed scammers using email addresses from Surplus, but on a couple of occasions in getting replies 'Where did you get my email'
I think scammers are getting a little wiser, and I think im going to have to go back to getting mass emails. |

I've also had a few more cases than in the past, where a lad asks where I got his message. Usually I reply that it came through a mailing list and that seems good enough in most cases. OR my cousin forwarded it to me as something I might be interested in.
One thought: emails that get posted in Surplus also may get baited more than many others. You might get more mileage doing a similar approach but instead of selecting them from Surplus here, picking out lad mails from Scamwarners instead. As there are a lot more messages posted at Scamwarners vs here, there may not be as many people baiting any individual one. |

If anything it was just an observation really.
I mailed a au pair scammer from Scamwarners, and actually he has given the same response 'where did you get my email'
Anothone asked me to send him back the initial email where he actually mailed it to me, obviously I didnt hasve that and told him it was I found on the net, again he asked which site.
So rather than getting the usual initial scripts this question is popping up regular.
I have now gone back to mugu guestbook to see if I can catch a scammer directly who has emailed me. |

Ah, au pair lads may be especially tuned in since they recruit through sites so often. They may also be interested in which of their au pair profiles are actually working. (in addition to being cautious about time wasters). |
