I suppose they would if you had information on a specific scammer they were interested in. |

Catching a scammer is extremely difficult. There have been a few membsrs who obtained enough information and coordinated with law enforecement to have the scammer arrested. There is a special siggy icon for it. You won't see many. |

I think you're going to find our members will not be looking for financial gains in the pains of others. Some of us do this because it's the right thing to do. |

AJScam,
If you received an email about the line you posted here, that's called a recovery scam. A lot of times, the scammers are impersonating the FBI, Interpol and so on, promising to a victim they can get the scammer in jail and they can recover the money that victim lost. Of course, the victim will pay for that "help", getting scammed again.
Can you try, please, go on www.ScamWarners.com and post there the content of the email you received, with the email address of the sender and without any of your real life details in it, if mentioned?
The people there can tell you more about this type of scam, explaining to you how to protect yourself also in such cases. |

No they do not.
The FBI does not solicit assistance with promises of rewards via Email. If you received an Email promising or claiming any type of monetary reward or compensation for assistance then it IS a scam. If you'd like, you can post the Email here for further information. |
