Welcome back.
Yes indeed these scams are quite prevalent. There are several different possible scam directions that may appear including fees associated with starting the job, and "overpayment" (especially common with mystery shopper type scams). They may also be trying to get "payment handlers" also known as money mules to collect payments from other scam victims and forward them on -- these have become a lot more common recently.
Do let us know what the site is.... Taking down fake scammer websites has become a major part of our activities. |
