I've lost count of the times I was told I'd be able to receive my millions at a $5K per day clip. My current lad's math works out to just over 24 years to get my "winnings".
Any of you seasoned vets have any clue where this sort of silliness came from? There had to be some bizarre reason for it given the high percentage of lads who bring it up, even when I've got them off script.
(I'm having fun slapping around my current lad as I'm 93 years old and need an "exemption".) |

Maybe it's so they can say they will send you a refillable ATM card. I've seen that before. You end up having to pay shipping costs and the normal bank fees. |

I wonder if a lad might actually send a bogus ATM card and then ask for fees to make it work? |

I think this one has some basis in reality. ATMs don't have millions of dollars, and in the US, banks have to report large cash withdrawals to the IRS. So if you hear it from a lad, it's just another attempt to appear more credible. |
