A little while ago, while baiting a lad - Roy Finley - who was arranging to send my character's lottery winnings (here), I also picked up a lad from Surplus, who wanted to give me Compensation for a Scam.

And so I decided that Roy Finley and associates were scammers, and I'd lost money to them.

The Compensation bait then went ahead in a run-of-the mill manner. I sent a messy MTCN. Played for time. Got sick. Got involved in purchasing expensive grazing land. And then got bored with the lad, so decided I didn't want a Compensation Payment anymore.

And after that it became fun again!

(Names are mostly changed throughout, in case the lad googles.)

Regarding the compensation payment, after all this time, I've heard again from the man who was in contact with me before about the lottery win. He says that it is true that the courier stole the money I sent. But he can still send me the money, so it looks like all is going ahead now, and therefore, it would be wrong for me to accept compensation for the loss of the money I sent before.

It was a UK Lottery Win (I think that someone there must have bought a ticket in my name - and I am almost certain who would have done that, who is from Nigeria, but he lived in the UK, and he would have bought the ticket there), but because the address which was given was incorrect (which is not surprising, because previous to coming to the Netherlands, I had been living on Lewis, then in England, then on Sark), the winnings ended up in the USA.

The UK Lottery Coordinator contacted me, and then I was passed on to Mr Roy Finley, of Front Point Security Company. The courier was Mr Mark John Lopez of the Offshore Delivery Department of Air Courier Company Ltd, he's the one who stole the money.

There was another courier called Mr Charles Dean, who was part of Front Point Security Company, but he seemed very uninformed, and a bit strange, and then he never contacted me again.

Mr Roy Finley continued to try to organise things but, actually, he seems to have changed lately, and the last few days I haven't really been comfortable with him. It's all a bit awkward, anyway, because the man who would have bought the winning ticket, he was the father of my twins, and I really don't want my husband to know that he is wanting to give things to me. I don't know, sometimes it just doesn't seem worth all this hassle. It was nice of Ibrahim, I'm sure, to do this for me, but I don't need the money at all, and I won't keep it anyway. I'd give it to Ibrahim if I could, but I can't contact him - he's married, anyway, but also I don't know where he is living now. He might even have gone back to Nigeria, and I can't remember where exactly he came from.

Doing both seems to be above his ability, hence the long rants and ALL CAPS message. I remember a certain older lady who wrote "unacceptable" frequently to her Compensation Lad and he gave up way too soon.

And I'm very disappointed to learn that the UN has gone into partnership with the lottery business. Surely this must involve some sort of conflict of interest, I would think.

I thought it would be useful to have another lad write 'This is a scam!' about all this. Mrs Okapi and associates had repeatedly asked Shani to forward emails from lottery scammer Mr Finley - but I couldn't do that, as that bait is actually long over. But I am baiting a United Nations lad - so I asked him about the former Under-Secretary General who had written to me above.

Although I'd changed most names when posting in this thread, I had not changed her name. The lad had misspelt it, but when I googled the misspelling, Google corrected it, and gave me pages and pages of results about the real person. So I saw no reason to change it here.

Until I got a reply from the United Nations lad. After explaining it was a scam, he linked to this thread!

Shani has been writing to this lad for months. Although her name is changed here, it's not changed much, and there are clues enough that identify her. But, obviously the lad just skimmed the page, and didn't notice.

I wrote back to that lad, and Shani told him that more evidence of the scam was found on another website - one that obviously impressed her far more than Eater. Maybe once he has safely gone away from here, I'll go back and disguise the name of the Under-Secretary General too. It doesn't really matter about that lad being here - but I don't really want the Mrs Okapi/Mr Bugger/etc lad finding his way here too.

You get a choice of three or four different things to eat, a choice of potatoes and vegetables and stuff, and then a choice of desserts as well. And there's coffee served too. I can't imagine not being fed by the hospital, coz eating a good diet is part of recovering from anything. I mean, you need good nutrition to get well.

Anyway, yes thank you, Emily and I had a nice day yesterday, it was a bit cooler, so in the afternoon we went cycling in the forest, which was something that Emily really wanted to do ever since I sent her a photo of one of the cycle paths there. Tomorrow we're going to De Gordyk, and then on Wednesday, my husband is taking the day off from work, and we're all going to spend the day at De Alde Feanen National Park - minus the dogs, of course; I'll leave them at home with my housekeeper.

Maybe I was a bit over-reactive yesterday, it was just that I'd come home from a nice day out, and come to my mailbox to see if I had an email from my friend Anke, who we're meeting up with today - and it was like I was overwhelmed by all your emails telling me to go to the bank, like I was ... well, I don't know what, because we don't even order around our servants like that, but always ask nicely, and consider their thoughts and feelings and what they want to do and stuff. And I'm certainly not used to being ordered around!

Nonetheless, I could have said it all a lot nicer, and with more compassion for your situation. Losing my temper has always been a fault of mine. I'm sorry that you were at the receiving end of it.

I don't need the money paid back to me, honestly. It's not even a gift really; I was brought up to always share and to help wherever I could; my dad says it is an obligation: if you are blessed by something, it is so that you can share the blessing; it is your duty to God and to humanity to do so.

And it will be easy to send it once I'm back on Shetland soil. At least they speak my language there!!

I'm not intending to stay there long, it's more of a business trip really. I want to speak to a couple of Financial Consultants about my investments, just to be up-to-date about how things are going with them, and whether I should make any changes. Then I'm flying across to the Isle of Lewis, to have a quick visit with my uncle and, moreover, check that all is well at my house there. It is let out to holidaymakers all summer, which is handled by a letting agency, and I have no negative reports, but I want to check over for myself that all is in good condition, and whether anything needs updating or replacing. Then I'll stop over at Edinburgh with my brother Mark for a day or two before coming back.

I'll have internet access most of the time, though. Except maybe not on Lewis. I used to have a laptop there, but then it got broke when I was travelling with it once, and I never replaced it.
