Hello, I'm new to this forum with registration but I read your "adventures" a couple years. Smile

I'm thinking that one of scammers team are trying to hook me up.
It's "forex" site who called me and tried to bait me to give them my CC number. Smile

They keep calling me on my mobile.
But let's go by timeline.
1. They called me promising enormous profit. All that I need is to deposit $200. All that I need to do is to give them my CC number, and all my "problems" are solved.
2. I told her that I don't have that much money on my CC, and that is security issue to give them my CC number. They keep telling me that they have highest SSL certificate. Smile

3. When I ask to send me their offer via email, they said that it can't be done, because I'm not in a system because I didn't deposit any money.
4. Day after. They call, and I told them that I have 2 news, one good and one is bad. Good news that I have enough money, and bad news is that my bank need some security checkup with account where I'm sending money.
5. They create an account form on their site so I can deposit my money. When I told them that I tried and it wasn't successful she transferred me to "payment department". On that "department" they was pretty aggressive, about need to give them my CC, so they can try from their side. "Because there is everything fine." After I denied to do that, they return call to first caller.
6. After returning a call, they act aggressively again, about that I'm not serious. I told them that I will finish a call immediately because I'm serious but they aren't. Also I keep informing them that I want to deposit money to them, but my bank have security issue about transferring money to them.
7. They are awaiting now for me to "check" with my bank. Smile

Hi Ptomic,

Welcome to Eater. The scam you describe is fairly common but basically is not a good idea to bait. The scammers called you-and therefore have your real life phone number which can be tied to your real life information. One of the things we insist on here is baiting safely, which means never exposing your personal details. Scammers are criminals-you don't want to give them your real life info.

Additionally, you mentioned discussing email-was this one of your real life accounts? Were you identified by name? This is simply not a safe situation.

The best advice I can give you is to drop the scammer-right now. Block his phone calls or don't pick up. Please read our stickies and maybe do some reading at Eater U. There are ways to have fun and frustrate scammers without exposing your real life details.

Welcome ptomic and thanks for registering - it's always good to see long time "lurkers" join up.

Regarding the site you're posting about - from the sound of things it is quite some distance from advance fee fraud (the sorts of scams we address here at 419eater). Moreover, it's not yet clear to me whether there is outright fraud involved -- from your description all I see so far is extremely high-pressure sales tactics to get you to buy into their trading site. The promise of potential "enormous profit" is a very strong warning sign but there is a lot of bluster around online trading that is not always definitively fraudulent.

Without clear evidence of fraud, our strong advice (and forum rules) is not to bait such entities, and from your description it sounds like they are not very "baitable" in any event. Most importantly, they have your personal details, and we never advise baiting under such circumstances. Drop any further correspondence with them.
