This might seem like shameless self-promotion and you'd be right, but I don't care!

After being away from our pets for such a long time and deciding to come back, I spent a few hours yesterday looking through the things I'd saved from previous baits (attachments, forms, pictures, all that kind of thing I accumulated back then), and found the Obudu Fact-Finding video that FrumpyBB and I got when we were running our Mooseknuckle Modelling modality.

That led to me wondering if the YouTube account was still up and running where I'd uploaded the videos (back when YouTube didn't allow videos longer than 10 minutes).

And... YES!

So, I've changed the video icon (down below) into a clickable link that goes to that YT account.

Why should you watch it? Here's the brief story:

After baiting JohnK for several months (in which he sent us photos and forms of beautiful women he wished to register with our modelling agency, and after he'd spent a few weeks in the hospital because on one of our missions to locate new office premises for MM he got knocked down by a motorcycle while crossing the street), we convinced him that we'd like to hold a beauty show in his part of the world and would he go scout out a suitable location, make a report on it, and get back to us with his recommendation.

We never expected he would recruit two of his friends (whether these were lads or not, I never worked out) and then set out to go from one side of Nigeria (from Lagos) to a mountain resort near the Cameroon border!

And he made a video of it.

Things to note while watching:
- The cheesy music he's added.
- The intense toilet facility inspection sequence.
- The man they're with is the Obudu Resort manager, whose business card I was sent along with the video on DVD and a resort brochure.
- JohnK is the smaller of the two lads, in case you're wondering. EDIT: My memory is not so good. JohnK remains behind the camera, I see my video notes tell me.
- If you look carefully, you will see a lanyard around each of the lads' necks. At the end of these is a card that is a Mooseknuckle Modelling business card I designed, printed, and sent to JohnK. I never expected him to put lanyards on the cards and wear them proudly as you see in the video. It was a great moment when I saw the things around their necks and then realized what they were. "That's my card!" I remember squealing like a little girl on that first viewing.

So now you know where my video camera icon links to.

Ah, interesting! I remember the 2009 Thread, where the Lads interviewed the staff and looked around. They wrote that the security guard was bored and the German engineer who looked after some equipment was unfriendly towards them. I recall asking back then about the video and it wasn't available. I must have missed the later 2010 Post with the links.

Anyway, I know I will enjoy watching the video today. Thanks for the update.

The MM thread is my favourite of all threads ever posted here.

I still remember reading it during quiet periods at work and it took me several weeks to get through it all. In fact, I had been an unregistered guest user up until I saw that thread -- I had to sign up in order to post on it.

My fondest memory of that bait was where one of the lads was recounting how bad his legs hurt because he had been taken to a police station and the officers made him do squats! ROFL!

Glad to see you back, OF. Smile

Ha, yes! I'd forgotten about that!
That was bizarre, though, the police making him do squats as some kind of punishment.

Those videos are incredible and I love that your lad decided to put on a business suit.
