Why don't they just puts ad before each view of a video..... |

Oh, no! I hope it doesn't close! 4Shared is ad-ridden and much less user-friendly. Also, I have days and days of recordings on SoundCloud.
I have to say that SC has been digging itself a hole for ages, mainly due to its inflexible approach. One massive gripe amongst its Users (paid and free) is that it steadfastly refuses to enable the re-ordering of uploads. Whatever is uploaded last goes to the top and stays there. This alone has caused a migration of Users to other services (www.yourlisten.com for eg).
Also, it is absolutely ridden with spammers. Within a few minutes of uploading a track, it is immediately 'liked' by accounts that seek to divert Users away from the site via dubious goo.gl links.
It is otherwise a great audio hosting service with a free option. It is clean and easy to navigate. If it closes, many of its Users (me included) will have hours and hours of work ahead of them. |

Lousy proofreading. I meant during each view. Running before the view is a little OK. |
