Just subscribed to 419eater after searching the web for scam baiting and related topics … this site kind of hits the top of the search list every time Smile

Never knew this hobby existed until last week when I received several phone calls from tech support scammers. After hanging up on the first few with only the words ‘Beat it, scammer!’ I thought I’d try to play technologically illiterate and pretend I believe them. After keeping him on the phone for about an hour I ran out of inspiration of why I can’t get TeamViewer to work (the real reason was that I was sitting in the living room with friends and family listening in, laughing at the scammer as he got more and more frustrated), so I gave up the game and told him outright I was just trying to waste his time and knew he was a scammer. After some NSFW expletives from him he hung up on me.

… But it got me interested in the game and want to get better at it …
so here I am, trying to learn some of the finer points of scam baiting and with my ICT knowledge setting up an isolated system to be able to keep them busy for hours on end (and record their every movement).

Hello I am new here and I never use forums so I don't really know how they work.
I found this site looking for info of how to report my scammer -unfortunately I cannot play with him he has a lot of info about me.
He doesn't know I know so if anyone wants his two last numbers,e-mail or such please be my guest!
This one is a typical military scam but I always have scam mail so if you ever run...short feel free to ask for one I doubt I will be out of them! Rolling Eyes

Hello Catfishmagnet and welcome. I'm sorry that you are the victim of a scam. If your "soldier" was romance scamming you - try posting at the Dating scam thread - there are a number of romance baiters that would be happy to get in touch with the soldier

I would post his info here: https://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=44 and let those baiters do what they do best.

I always waste their time anyway after I get they are scammers,I always ask them if they need only such a small amount or more and have them partying before blocking.

Hello Catfishmagnet, and welcome to Eater. I'm sorry you have found us this way. To have a true impact and report the scammer, please do it at https://www.scamwarners.com. Any of the Mods there would be happy to help you with posting on a forum. It's not much different than how you have posted here and will have more relevance as the information you provide will be available for others searching on the email address, profile, etc. you provide.

It is also never safe to mess with scammers using your real information. It seems you "mess" with them once you realize they are fake. It's best to block and completely ignore them. You might be amazed what can be gleaned about you with just a little bit of information.

I became interested in this hobby after some undeserving friends got scammed. Truly, I am in awe of so many of you guys!
I've been reading extensively and slowing setting up my catcher accounts (tech stunted) so as not to waste a mentors time just yet.
TBH, hearing lad pain is the most delicious sound on the planet.
Looking forward to a whole bunch of it.

Chose it cuz I, way way back in the olden days, careened around the Florida back roads, in a state of frenzy, as part of my then job. However, nothing, absolutely NOTHING kept me from absorbing the local history, no matter how overgrown, snake infested, trespasser warning signed, tourist trapped, or drug kingpin owned.

Welcome aboard though psychotic fellow, do get a mentor. It's nice to have the resource available and I know they will appreciate that you are trying to set up on your own as best you can...... but again they might have some tips. Work smart not hard!

No offense meant, Mr/Mrs Joker. The bat tower is a Florida landmark with significant history.
Advice regarding a mentor is greatly appreciated. I will do that as soon as I feel I won't be wasting a second of their valuable time. Have faith, though, I am observing the rules as closely as I can.

Hey, just coming because I think the "scamming of scammers" is hilarious. I have a special interest in those hilarious Indian "Windows Support" people. I also have a throwaway email account filled with scam emails and my phone has lots of voicemail from the "United Credit Union". Hoping to get some good lads soon!

Maybe to straighten up some things first, we don't scam the scammers. We try to waste their time, money and resorces. Also we don't bait those windows support scammers because it's not an advanced fee scam. They also have your phone number and real life information. That's not safe baiting!
Read some stickies and maybe you want to sign up for a mentor.
And most important: have fun!
