I have located all your social networking and dating website profiles, and using this I am going to send message to all of your friends and family members about this.

Well, for sure, you would feel ashamed if I tell your family members and friends about this, and it would be even more worse, when you meet them face to face. Wondering how to prevent me from doing this? Its simple, you need to send just 1 Bitcoin (i.e One BTC) to the following Bitcoin address:

You may be wondering why should you and what will prevent other people from doing the same, in short you can now delete your social and dating accounts. So go ahead and give it a try. Although the MO is blackmail, this to me seems much more like a hitlad format (you're in danger, pay me... or else), verses sextortion (we just sex chatted and I recorded it, so pay me ... or else). So, baitable IMO --someone else who deals with this sort of modality may have more thoughts.

I could imagine this would be fun to bait as a clueless and horny old man who has no idea what the heck a BitCoin is.

There is a good chance that any Ashley Madison data is coming from Harkers and thus this could be something spammed out from non-reply addresses.

Truthfully I can’t see anything more than Phishing here but hey what do I know eh?

I imagined they would be getting no where with bit coin and then trying for a more traditional approach to get money via wu or mg.
Maybe your right. But was thinking more it was blackmailing and they are hoping to get a hit on one of the people who really did get caught up in it

They seem to be doing a shotgun type of E-mail and wait for money to come into the Bitcoin accounts.

Then send out more Shotgun type E-mails and wait again.

If you find a way to Bait these it would be valuable but heed Oscars warning that you most probably are working with H4rkers. Be very careful if you pursue this course of action.

FYI it is not clear that this is quite a hitlad type scam although there are some similarities in the scare tactics. If you google text from the message above, it looks like the sender is actually hoping some recipients will send bitcoin payment without further correspondence.

See here: they seem to be working through a few different bitcoin wallets.
