Slightly new (at least to me) modality...Volunteers?

So I've been thinking about this for awhile, and thought I'd run it past the pros. Basically this is a combination of a number of modalities and tricks commonly used around here to cause paranoia and introduce some competition.

Phase 1

Find a lad. Straight bait him for a bit, kind of feel him out. Nothing serious here, but keep him on the hook. Never actually commit to sending money. This would probably require someone seasoned with long, drawn out baits.

Phase 2

This is where the volunteers come in. Other baiters slowly trickle in with responses so he doesn't get suspicious with a flood of magas. Again, straight stuff, maybe even have some people stop replying to him (with one account anyway.)

Phase 3

This will take some coordination. Again this should be somewhat staggered (over the course of a week or so) to avoid rousing suspicion. Everyone get to a point where you are going to wire him the money in the next day or so. Again, no funny stuff, lost receipts, dropped numbers...

Phase 4

Chopped. All of them. Chopped. Hopefully paranoia ensues. Perhaps even have some accounts get chopped a second time just to drive it home.

Now, from here it can go a few ways. Start some funny baits, go through the whole changing email addies, secret codewords, etc...all the normal stuff paranoid lads do.

Here's my idea. Let's send a letter from Mr Gomer Pyle, taking credit for the chop. Same old stuff, "Join us if you want it to stop." But perhaps Mr Pyle needs some competition. Perhaps we can have a recruitment battle over the poor lad, introduce a new super oga who can protect him from the big bad Gomer Pyle, and see where it goes from there.

Oh, yeah, the first guy to bait him...keep baiting him, but continually stall. This baiter is left as a backup, in case he stops communicating with everyone else and/or changes his email. Hopefully he (lad) will stay in contact if he changes his email addy so Gomer and Co. can still get a hold of him later (and new "magas"), further proving his all mighty power over the innerwebs.

Thoughts, criticisms, ideas?

Do a search for "Gomer Boys" and Snorkys .

The Gomer Boys hve been used for multiple dollar chops for years. I just read another long recent safari thread that involved many chops by Snorky's gang, and multiple baiters and characters.

Definitely sounds like a good idea for a mass bait. We did something similar with Jonathan/Jerry in this thread: https://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=256364 We mass baited him, then convinced him that a scammer gang called the Snorky Boys was chopping every payment from his magas. The lad became so paranoid that he started telling us not to send him money.

I'd be happy to help out by running the drawn out straight bait. My baiting style is ponderously slow, and deliberately so. I send at most one email per day, and my character is easily confused and asks questions about everything. As a result, almost all of my baits last at least a month.

I'm in as a volunteer. I'd also suggest you go with a trunk box or dying widow scammer-loan lads are always in too much or a hurry.

After all. Where do lads get the their lists from? He/she could have been sold, or acquired a list pulled from one source.

Does anyone remember the village of Trepanning? I seem to remember the baiter played all the characters from a small village that had their own community site.

I think that was posted on Scamorama....? Whats the Bloody Point?... Or one of the early baiting sites.

Here are a couple ideas I've had about this:

1. We could mass bait an orphanage lad. I make primary contact with him offering a donation, then tell him that my fellow Church parishioners are all interested in making donations as well. I tell him that they will be emailing him, and then it's open season for baiters to pile on.

There are a lot of possibilities from there. We can peer pressure him to join the Church, introduce odd religious restrictions, etc. The chop could come from a disillusioned priest, from the Gomer gang, from my crooked banker Mr Hilts, or any combination of the above.

2. Another possibility is a NOK lad. I start baiting him, and then other baiters trickle in as described in the OP. One by one, all the magas mention that the lad's assistant Mr Gomer/Snorky/whatever told them to pay him instead. That should get the lad very confused and paranoid once he realizes he has been chopped.

Lots of possibilities here too. We can introduce a rogue lad who can work with the lad against the Gomers, a banker who knows how to launder the money so they can't steal it, or go as mentioned in the OP with Mr Gomer recruiting the lad.

@sonofscam, I don't have any lads in mind at the moment. I do have an orphanage lad who I've had on the hook for about a month and a half, but I think he about to drop me soon, so I am not sure he is suitable. I have a couple NOK-type lads going on a month, but they haven't replied to me in a few days, and I want to make sure we have a responsive lad.

So if you want to pick a few lads from Surplus (to make sure we have at least one responsive lad), I'm fine with that and I'll go ahead and start baiting them. If someone wants to donate a suitable lad, that's fine too.

I like the orphanage/religious idea. It creates so many opportunities. I'll scour my catcher account and the surplus and see what I can dig up, unless someone else is willing to donate a suitable lad to the cause.

The Church I usually use is called the Church of the Old Gods. I've mentioned it to this lad, but I didn't explain much about it and I doubt he remembers the name, so we can change it if need be.

I usually use the Church modality to get trophy pictures, waste a bunch of the lad's time while he fills out forms and copies out texts in his handwriting, and try for a safari.

I would like to try and get a lad to build something for us, maybe like a TWAT pyramid. I am going to PM some members who I know have experience with this sort of thing, to see if they are willing to help out.

Until then, the only details that matter are that Roger lives in Jacksonville Florida and he is elderly.
