Hey everybody (Hi Dr. Nick),

i have returned. Not that most of you will probably remember me as i only had a short stint on here before RL took over and an 8lb10oz bundle of joy ate up every spare moment i had.

Anyhoo, as the title suggests, i have returned with a vengeance as a close friends mother has been scammed out of her retirement savings by one of these wankers. So its very definitely personal.

From what ive gathered so far, it was done via facebook as a love interest scam. And i'm led to believe that these pieces of shit are still attempting to contact her on her mobile phone, my friend is going to speak to her later to see if thats the case and possibly supply me with the number.

So, my question is, if i can obtain a mobile number, is there a process to be able to trace them from this? I'm sadly under no illusion that she will never see her money again, but if there is any way they can be traced using their mobile number that leads to an arrest then happy days.

Other than that, if i can get the number, whats the best way for me to start baiting them using this? i'm all good with the email process but phone numbers not so much. Either that or ill be happy to pass the number on to a more experienced baiter and let them deal with the fuckknuckle.

You are not going to get an arrest - the phone number is most likely a VoIP number or if it is a mobile, it will be a burner that is registered with fake details. The scammer is most likely overseas.

The best thing that you/your friend/their mother can do is post all of the scammer's details at our sister site scamwarners.com for other victims to find.
