HELP I'm looking for an IP Tracking website to trak scammers

First ever post here. I like what you guys are doing.

I need help finding a new website where I can easily track scammers, simply by tricking them into clicking on a link. This method worked even for scammers that hid behind Craigslist E-Mails!!

Back in 2008 I found a website called "CHAT TRACK" to find IP address and information about scammers. The basic premise is you log into the website and create an account. You copy a link that has the picture of your choice: (Teddy Bear, Heart, Wedding Ring, Motorcycle, Car...ect) You send the scammer that link and say, "I bought you a Teddy Bear" or "What color car do you like the best?"

When they click on that link, it records their IP address, local time, location, operating system...everything!! All you had to do is get them to simply click on the link and you'd get all their info.

About 2 years ago, Chat Track disappeared from the internet and I haven't found a replacement like it. Does anyone here know of one? I need another website like this because this method doesn't require any knowledge or software of how to track people, you simply trick them into clicking on your link and you get all the info. This method also works from any computer as well.

Hi,

First, is your screen name in anyway related to your real life information? If so, you really should PM a mod (folks in green) To change it. We emphasize safe baiting on this site-which means making sure that your information is protected. Scammers can and do drop by.

I don't see the urgency of tracking scammer's location. IPTracker has a link at the top-cut and paste a scammer's header for information. Secondly, a number of services strip the IP address including Gmail , Hotmail etc. Chatrack, if it was still up, wouldn't give any better results. Also, if the scammer was using a proxy hider, which we do see fairly frequently, I doubt the App would show the originating IP.

Finally, WhoReadMe is an option.

He's baiting safely. Capone did give the first rule of Eater, though. And we talk about it that rule. A lot.

I don't know of a site like you mention that still works with all the changes email providers have made. Now, they store images sent on their servers, making image tracking almost impossible.

The OP's not talking about image tracking, they want a site where the recipient of the email (a scammer I hope Wink

) clicks on a link and then goes to a website to track their IP etc.

I'm sure there are some around as IP tracking is a couple of lines of code in most web development languages, but I've not seen any. Also, Capone's comment about them using a proxy (or a VPN) holds true - if that is the case then you wouldn't get it.
